  1. He must of done it for free surely? Shocking! Whats all the extra cabling about?
  2. Hey, Just got the game and am playing online and was wondering how I get into one of the division rankings league?
  3. I know you can't avoid this, but even if a seller has loads of good feedback, there is still a chance that his account has been hacked and the hacker is using it. eBay accounts are always been hacked, I think a lot of people fall victim to the hackers emails. Which read "eBay requires you to update your details, please click the link below"
  4. Thats weird, don't think a hacker would carry out a task like that, I agree with what Nick said. For furture reference, if you pay by Paypal, then it usually has nothing to do with eBay - but yes paypal have something like a £500 customer protection policy.
  5. We're based in east sussex, which is probably a bit far from where your located, we have 30+ crt monitors which are free to anyone who wants to collect. PM me
  6. Hi all, We're having a problem with exchange, we need sender verification enabled. I've been into exchange system manager but am I struggerling to locate it. The problem is we're send an email to someone externally, and it'll bounce back - as they've got sender verification setup and their server has reported back to our server to verify the address, but it is not being verfiried. So the email just bounces back.
  7. Hi Nick, Try holding down the Function key and then pressing F7. (If it doesn't work try all the F's) This disables the touch pad on some of the laptops we have.
  8. yeah all good advice. I've heard the computer chair story before as well.....lol!
  9. Just a follow up on this, I purchased 3X 8GB mem sticks from Hong kong via eBay.............Idiot! Not only did they take nearly a month to arrive, they were about half of the so claimed 8gb, you have to actually put 5-6gb of data on it to find this out, as they appear to have 7-8gb worth of space when actually it was half that. And I am also certain they are the old 1.1usb standard as they take so looooooooooooong to transfer to and from!
  10. We have a newsletter every week, which many a staff don't read - so I can't imagine the teachers reading this unless, I have a breaking headline in the subject bar mmm........
  11. Tip of the week for me to staff/students would be: Insert photos into word/powerpoint documents and not copy and paste. By inserting a photo rather than copying it your cutting the file size by huge amounts.
  12. Get some advertisement into local newsagents windows/ etc. Charge an hourly rate for your service &/Or a one off fee for a fix.
  13. Unlikely, you may have to wait until your 16. Paper round is probably the best bet - ask at local shops. You seem to know about computers? why not advertise your services? Advertise at you local shop "Computer/Laptop repairs Anything repaired *Upgrades *Repairs" etc etc. Fix computers and get paid good money
  14. 15 is quite young, still at school, GCSEs? My first job was at Homebase when I was 16, most fun ever - nearly everyone I worked with was a student, had some laughs! Hand your CV into local places?
  15. Yeah all good - easy day! Systems Manager/tech?
  16. Hello.............Jack!
  17. Loads of bits on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-PC-Motherboard-CPU-Memory-Test-Analyzer-POST-Card_W0QQitemZ190206355672QQihZ009QQcategoryZ101203QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Seems pritty useful, might get one myself!
  18. How did you end up in IT, whats your story?
  19. Opps! Working fine now! Cheers everyone! Have a good day!
  20. I have full permissions though as I am the administator of the machine I am installing it on.
  21. Morning all, Promissor Administrator issue We've installed it on some stand-alone laptops, we install it - it normally runs first time. Then we're restart the machine or go to it again, and it will come up with this error "The current amount of disk space on the drive where registration and test information is stored is less than 50MB. Testing may continue, however if the amount drops below 5MB, new testing sessions will not be allowed to start and existing sessions will terminate if the available space drops to 0" I click ok then I get "Invalid data path specified" Anyone got any ideas? cheers
  22. Not at work we wouldn't, but at home I have an Epson r300 which I print loads of photos off, I use cheap stuff at £5 per 6 cartridges off eBay which is unbelievably cheap, when the genuine Epson ink is £18each. I had genuine Cartridges to start with, I haven't noticed any difference in quality.
  23. No, we're not putting new stuff on the market - we're recycling it into someone elses possession.
