If you're up for setting up the server yourself DigitalOcean are really good. (Added my referral code, get $10 of credit) There tutorials are excellent to if your not so good with Linux. They also pre-configured droplets (VMs) with things like Wordpress pre installed.

That's such a shame that people can let buildings/places go derelicted like that. Places like that make excellent museums/datacenters. I would love to own a nuclear bunker.

Yep, Atom is my favourite at the moment. Atom is very customisable with different themes and plugins. It good as well as it high lights the different syntax, which is good for editing certain configuration files on servers. Visual Studio Code is a good alternative to Atom.

I don't seem to have any lockup issues on the new new version. But their does seem to some lag when scrolling though threads. When they are first loading but when all the avatars have finished loading the scrolling appears to be smooth again. But I haven't had a chance to hammer the app yet, but will report back with issues when I find some.
