@Dos_Box I've used Suunto stuff for years, started using their dive computers when I was in the military, so can vouch for the reliability and superb functions of the brand. Having had a look at the features and styling of your watch I have to confess to be very envious.

I'm bit of a watch geek so was very pleased that Santa got me a TokyoFlash Galaxy watch: http://www.slipperybrick.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/galaxy.jpg Takes a bit of getting used to but looks really good! The kids got me a couple of Pratchett / Discworld books and a cufflink box. They got loads of chocolate so I'm robbing theirs whenever the feeling strikes!!!

Damn these supervillains. The 'C*ckblocker' was my arch enemy all through my early 20's!!!!! The bast*rd!

I used this last year. I Elf'd the Head, 3 HOD's and myself (they all consented to it first!) and then put it up on the digital signs around the school.....the kids loved it. -
I just love Tim Currys performance in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.....infact I think everyones performance is ace, even Meatloafs.........my favorite scene being...... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Enr4W6FsSpk]YouTube- Sweet transvestite(Rocky Horror Picture Show)[/ame] I have many other favorite scenes from many other films, but this film has stuck in my mind since I first saw it!

I remember getting in to work (May or June this year) only to find a hot air balloon on our sports field. Apparently it had had to make an emergency landing as it was heading into the flight path of RAF Brize Norton!!!! The bit that really made me smile was that it was sponsored by Triumph (not the motorbike company) and there was a very big picture of a woman in her bra on the side of it.......you should have seen them trying to deflate it as quickly as possible and get it folded up before the kids turned up!!!!

I'm not on the top level SLT, but here we have a sub group called SLICT and Infrastructure Development which has the top level SLT, myself, the Bursar and the Site Development Officer. Staff are aware of our position in the hierarchal structure, although one or two do have a problem with this!

OK all you TV aficionados out there I’m after some advice. I’ve been fortunate enough to win a new LCD TV in a raffle but have got a choice of 2 so I would like some opinions as to which to choose. The options are: Toshiba: 40'' to 49'' Screen Size or LG 42LH3000 Televisions TV/Audio/Video Any advice will be gratefully appreciated as I know jack about this type of thing and usually just look at how easy it is to clean the screen after my kids have smeared their sticky fingers across it!!!!! Think I’ll be wall mounting whichever I choose this time. Thanks,

Free 1GB Memory Sticks for Teachers & School Staff
muppet replied to jamin100's topic in General Chat
Not being one to let things lie one of my team sent an email to Memory4Teachers to ask where the free pens are........here's their response: ----- Original Message ----- Dear ? * I have been informed that you and your colleagues have not yet received your free memory sticks. * I have checked the database and unfortunately due to human error your educational establishment had been actually marked down as in receipt of your sticks. * For this I do apologise. * I note that there are in fact ? registrations from teachers within your educational establishment. * I can clarify that I will ensure that you do receive your free memory sticks within the next 10 days. * I will send you an email once they are dispatched. * Please also note that we have received an over whelming feedback to this offer and it is taking longer to fully meet the demand. * Once again we are sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope that you will be happier once you have received the goods. * Please contact me at any time. * Best Regards * {removed} Project Director Memory4Teachers {removed} Well that explains why we haven't got ours........I wonder why no-one else has got theirs!!!!!!!! -
Congratulations dude and to mum.......... And a big hello to Nicholas David.

I notice from their website that they are going to be at BETT 2010 and The Education Show 2010. I wonder how many people will drop by to say hello and where's my bloody pen!?! -
Another one here who's had bloody awful service from Dell. So much so that I stopped buying their kit!! Didnt go through a reseller though...maybe I should have!?! Never mind.

I know that this point has been raised a few times already but I just cant seem to find the answer in anyone’s replies....... Once all the NM's and Techs have been made redundant to save money (how much will that cost in payouts / settlements?) just who is going to respond to "the PC in my classroom wont work and I need to use it now to deliver my lesson!" or "I cant seem to do (whatever) with this new OSS software, I need you to show me how"? And just how free and cost effective is that support, if there is any, going to be? And as for the bribe thing.....Well just for the record I've never been offered or taken anything and take exception to the fact that you intimate that I have. I’d like to know how many bribes large outsourcing companies (cant think of the name of one at the moment, but feel free to use any you like!) have made to ensure that they get government contracts. Definitely a pot and kettle situation if you ask me.

Ahhhh the delights of Aber....the pubs, the pier, the pubs, the castle (or remains of one), the pubs....you may have spotted a theme!

I'm with apearce on the course provider (QA) I did my ITIL Foundation and Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner with them and they were excellent. Cant remember exactly what I paid but I do know that you can (and should) knock them down from their advertised price, I think I had a 20% discount on the advertised price. If you want a point of contact at QA pm me and I'll pass on my account managers details.
