  1. I absolutely love mine and use it for all sorts of things from cycling, zorbing, mountain boarding, days out with the kids and attaching it to the dog to see what life is like for him whilst out for a walk!!!! As @hardtailstar has said, it is worth getting the extra mounts/tripods/harnesses for it...but that all depends how you're going to use it. I use my cycle helmet mount and chest harness/mount the most. I've tried a mates cheaper GoPro copy and I have to admit that the difference is very notable. Happy Birthday by the way!!
  2. Shirt, tie, trousers, shoes/boots here....sometimes even a suit, but that depends on who I'm meeting with. I also have a set of scruffs in the car for when it's time to get dirty. For the rest of the team it's shirt and trousers, tie optional......although I may implement a department polo shirt and trousers dress code if I can get the go-ahead.
  3. It was received on Friday but one of the admin team sent it directly to the Head who was out yesterday and today, thus you not having a response yet.
  4. You can email the application to either [email protected] or [email protected]. @mtayloronline93 - When did you apply? I will check with the office when I get in to see if they have received anything from you.

  6. Shirt and tie most days, scruffs when I know I'm going to be getting down and dirty(!).....but I do also turn up in jeans and a hoodie every no and again, must be my rebellious side kicking in. Just out of interest, do those of you who get issued a uniform claim back the laundry expenses from the tax-man? You're allowed to......good link here: Free Uniform Tax Rebate: Reclaim £100s of tax - Money Saving Expert
  7. Tried that James but it altered the formatting on some of the documents!!!!
  8. Does anyone have an update on this issue? I've got the same problem here........print preview shows the text boxes / images / shapes etc.....but nothing shows on the actual printing? It's driving me mad, especially with all the D&T coursework that's being printed off at the moment!!!!!!
  9. Dexter looks like me trying to get up off the sofa last Friday after a few too many vino's!!!!!!! I could have done with a helping hand then as well!!!!
  10. Done it!
  11. I've been in touch with Photobie (a guy called Cheng) and he has confirmed that Photobie is free for Educational purposes and establishments. More interestingly he also stated that it could be used within schools to produce non-comercial and comercial images! All that they ask is that you subscribe to their forums. If anyone wants more details just pm me.
  12. Another one here for using Wordpad. We use it because of the lack of spellchecker but also because you can insert images / screen grabs and you can use bold - underline - italics etc.
  13. I've got a full compliment so I can lend people some if they're short of staff......please take some....PLEASE!!!!!!
  14. Is it that its claiming going to American Idol would be a fabulous prize as opposed to the reality that Guantanamo Bay would be more preferable?
  15. @ David, It's got a recovery partition on it............whats your thinking? But so has the other identical one her kids use and that's ok!
  16. Yep I've checked the root for autorun.inf's, but couldn't find any. As for AV.....it had an outdated Norton on it, I uninstalled that and put AVG Free on it and ran a scan. Looks like its going to be a clean install!!!!!
  17. With everything disconnected all that's listed in Explorer is C: , Shared Documents folder and User folders. Scandisk and ChkDsk show no issues. Procmon doesn't show anything out of the norm, but it has been a long day so I might be missing something! Will have another look at it tomorrow. No Mapped drives at all. No Floppy shown in the Bios. If I boot into Safe the problem still persists. Thanks to everyone for their help trying to resolve this issue........it really is driving me up the wall not knowing what's causing it. In the meantime if anyone has any other ideas please let me know, I'd hate to be beaten and just rebuild it!!
  18. Cheers Synack, I'll remember that one for next time......Unfortunately it's not the cause this time! I've disconnected all non-essential items, including DVD / front USB / card reader / sound + mike connections, and I'm still getting the same problem. Have just created a new user account and the same thing happens with that one. Aaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh! Think it's going to be one of those weeks....at least I'm off on hols next week, I can't wait.
  19. Ok......I've been asked to "take a look" at a friends PC as it has slowed down a lot lately!!! Anyway, having updated the AV and run a scan, installed all O/S updates (XP Home), run CCleaner, uninstalled all the software she no longer uses, installed more RAM and DeFrag'd the system all now seems to be running a lot faster................. Except that Explorer / "My Computer" takes about 40 secs to list Drives and Folders! I know that 40 seconds isn't long, but I also know that this information should be listed much quicker than this. I've hit a blank and can't think what can be causing it....I've searched other Forums as well for info and have tried everything I can find (disabling the WIA service, there's no Network Drives attached) but without any luck. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to post.....this is driving me up the wall now!!!
  20. I'm so sorry mate. We've only had our Gerbs for just over a month but I know how attached the kids (and me if I'm honest) have got to them, so goodness knows how you're feeling.
  21. Isn't there a duty of care issue here? It wasn't that long ago that the press was full of reports about pupils being able to access an inappropriate image in Leeds (I think?) and parents were asking for heads to roll. Now while this was a primary school they were going on about surely the principle is the same for secondary schools. I think you had better clarify if there is a responsibilty to filter inappropriate stuff from pupils and more importantly who will be held responsible if / when that stuff is accessed and parents / press find out. The finger of blame gets waved around madly with these types of issues and I'd want a big umberella to hide under when the proverbial hits the fan!!!!
  22. Ahhhhh! A fellow '71 child.
  23. Brilliant!!! I also like his 'Straight outta Surrey', hard to imagine NWA rapping this version!!!
  24. Is it a visual metaphor for how large corporate companies can control and put pressure on IT development to suit their needs and not let it run its own course? Too deep? Ok is it a desk with things on it? Too far the other way!.......There's just no pleasing some people.
  25. Hands? Adams apple? Come on dont leave me in suspenders......suspense, I meant suspense...it's not Tuesday until tomorrow!!!
