I thought the market was calling out for platform and browser independent solutions. Isn't this what the magical "Cloud" is all about? -

Surely having the ability for offline could lead to conflicting data when synchronised later on? -
I did not know that about the Army. I suppose you see things differently when you're a passionate fan of a team. The premiership will eat itself though.

I agree, but Football is (should be) different. Did your current employer pay a transfer fee to your previous employer?
-
His goal scoring record suggests otherwise.

It's not bizzare when you consider that they are paid huge signing on fees and sign a (now) worthless piece of paper called a contract. I hope Liverpool sign him. He's a proven goal scorer in average teams. (That's not a dig at the mighty reds, but a sad truth about their current state)

And this is where Tablet PC's can really shine in my opinion.

Righty-ho! ZT-180 FAQ Wifi strength and power fix The FAQ contains links to pretty much everything you need to know. I've been having fun trying to get two 3G dongles to work tonight, but with no success so far. It can be done though. Slatedroid has a great forum too.

Elonex are apparently working on getting Android 2.2 to work on it. This should work on any "branded" Zenithink ZT180. For those of you that didn't get yours from Elonex, it might be worth checking out their website as they have some firmware updates on the site. (I would advise caution of course) Another, interesting hack I read about at the weekend, was the ability to get some 3G modems to work on it.

ha ha, you've saved me a job. The keyboard case is pretty nifty isn't it? There are some hacks that can be applied after gaining root access that help prolong battery life and increase wireless range. I'm yet to tinker with that but I'll let you know how it goes. (Unless you've already covered that in your blog, which I am just about to read)

I've just bought this, but from Asda for £150. (Branded Elonex) It's perfect for my needs. I really don't understand why folk moan about resistive screens. I have no problem using it at all, and I like the fact I can use stylus to navigate to. Unfortunately I have stumbled across a game called Angry Birds and I'm severely lacking in sleep because of it. I may write an in depth review of it if there is a request.

Surely the long trip would enable you to build up an appetite?

Where's the Spam? Take away the row of 6 Sausages and I think I could do it. Not within 20 minutes though. I think I'd feel quite ashamed of myself too. (But I'd be ready for one hell of a beer session )

Star Wars Triliogy announced for blu-ray...finally!

Any news on the Blu-Ray release of the real gem of a film from George Lucas - Howard the Duck? -
There's the rub. As you say though, folk blow money left, right and centre on the GeeGee's and the footy, so as long as nobody is thinking of investing their life savings in GAME then best of luck.
