  1. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a H&S ruling or some other stupid red tape that forces the Police to remove people from Wheel chairs, rather than pushing them out of the way. I know someone that drives disabled people to and from schools, and you would not believe what they are not allowed to do. Due to a ridiculous rule, if a person slips, you are not to try to stop them, as they may injure you on the way down, or pull you down with them. I imagine this is due to the lovely no win no fee culture that Gordy allowed to infest and prosper. Welcome to modern Britain folks.
  2. Silvio Berlusconi will feel at home there then.
  3. VAT is rising in January Local government is facing huge cuts Disposable income is going down Ask yourself if you think your current job is relatively safe, compared to one that relies on sales of a "Trendy Brand" product. Sounds like your minds made up though, so I wish you luck and success.
  4. But would you be happy losing a 1TB drive, or the data on it? I think the benefit of these drives is that you're aren't likely to leave much data on them, and they are far more cost effective than a USB stick. Heck, I might even run it by the boss to see if we can get some. I won't be holding my breath though.
  5. Surely they could just wheel them out of the way if that's the case. We probably won't get to know the truth. The left wing media will blow it out of proportionate and start ranting about Kettling, and the right wing media will focus on videos of protesters hitting the police etc. We're just Pawns. The protests won't achieve their desired outcome.
  6. Good point Batman.
  7. I'm getting old. Do folk really feel the need to go online whilst scoffing a Big Mac?
  8. Under what circumstance would anyone need to give McDonald's any personal information? You can't even pay by card can you?
  9. Darn Hilarious Cash4Gold Letter Is Fake - The Consumerist
  10. Great. Whiteboards are already a pain in the backside, with their naff Serial to USB connections, now we'll need to add VGA to something-else connectors too? I yearn for the return of serial and parallel connections. Things just worked! Whilst USB is convenient, it's also a very badly implemented standard. I'll save the rest of my moans for the Football this afternoon. ;-)
  11. If genuine, that is superb, and I too would frame it. Reminds me of the chap that tried to sell a drawing of a spider to pay a bill, or something similar.
  12. If Grimlock and if I'm allowed to say it, Sl@g are in it then I'm defo going to see it!
  13. I'm really starting to fall out love with the game. I'm not a Newcastle fan but I think this is an utter disgrace.
  14. Boris has made himself look an even bigger fool than usual by spitting his dummy out and refusing them a free stay at the Dorchester during the Olympics. One has to ask why you would feel the need to offer a free stay at a 5* hotel to such a cash flush organisation like FIFA. Oh that's right, it's called a bung!
  15. Is Foamy like Goatsy? (Something else NOT to look up whilst at work)
  16. So you're ok with corruption as long as you get what you want from it? I put principles above my love of Football.
  17. We call them Kettles up North :-)
  18. Lock the ICT Suite and tell them to get out there and build snow man and have fun. Kids these days!
  19. Some of us have to put up with both companies. :-(
  20. Lower House prices is the solution to the vast majority of our problems. Why bother going to University to be saddled with debt (Which has been the case for the majority since '98), and then realise that the best you can afford, is a Rabbit Hutch new build where you can hear your Neighbours use the Toilet? I went to University in '98. I know people of a similar age to me that chose not to go to University at that time and instead go straight into employment. Even on very low wages, they were able to afford to buy a reasonable house for a first time buyer. I have more in savings now than one of these friends paid for a semi-detached bungalow, in a fairly nice area! (And we're not talking megabucks here) We don't all need to go to University, but we do all need somewhere to live, and until renters get far more rights than they currently do, ALL of the younger generations will be slaves to landlords. If you're paying a fortune on rent, you have nothing left to save, and little left to spend, thus not helping the economy.
  21. Following on from the Mealtime naming thread, I pose the following question. How do you pronounce Scone? Is it S-Cone or S-Gon?
  22. Zelda still scares me and I'm on the wrong side of 30. Terrahawks truly was great TV when I was growing up.
  23. I back the pensioner too. There are far too many selfish people around nowadays, and sadly a lot of them have cars. My commute to and from work is like driving in the Wild West at times. People just don;t give a damn about anyone but themselves. Don't get me started on parking on streets with Terraced housing!
  24. On a normal night I'd call you a nutter, but considering that I've wasted the last 90+ minutes watching the England Vs France game, I'd say you are a genius!
