That's the trouble with Linux Users they build a decent PC and then spoil it by putting Linux on it. Linux does not know what to do when swamped with more than 36k of Ram.

I have an AMD 64 machine at home as my server and Ubuntu Linux is always falling over on it (and before anyone starts it runs windows flawlessly). My Main MAchine I run vista on and it is as smooth as silk.

I vote Vista, because Linux is crap, seeing as Windows holds over 80% market share they can't all be wrong.

Have you checked that it is still in the DNS list on the DNS server, we had a server that dropped off of the dns list for some reason, just re added the record and it was found again. But it should still ping via IP though so maybe not. Maybe worth a look.

rsop.msc will only show you the policy for the currently logged on pc and the machine though. you would be unlikely to be able to run this while on a student account as the run command should be disabled so you will be unable to check wether the student accounts get the correct policy applied. The best route for all Group Policy needs is Group Policy Management Snap in.

Install Gp Management console on the server then run a test from there and it will tell you if the correct GP is being applied. It could be that the default domain policy is being applied unless you block inheritance of it. GP Management Console will tell you for sure.

Does not work tried it. when the connection is reestablished it will come up with the page you were originally after. Would work if you knew the exact address for the error page.

Their Websites may use Linux but their internal OS will more than likely be MS, please dont tell me you have based your whole arguement on what external website OS companies use?

My Bayesian Analysis is at around 15k we are at around 90% all filtered at the moment, you always get some through though. An example is my head emailed me saying she had 8 Junk Emails in her in box even though 397 had been filtered out, not bad going really.
