  1. Bah we havent got proper snow where we are..not proper powder like the stuff I ski on in Colorado. At best what we have is thick frost, or sludge. I pine for the colorado snow (usually go to keystone, aspen or breckenridge for xmas each year, course now that little Bethany is here I havent been able to)
  2. That would be lovely, sadly our teachers can barely remember a password like "apple" , let alone something as complex as something alphanumeric. Sometimes they even forget their usernames, (first initial + surname) !!
  3. Thats my fault, I worded the original post poorly, I didnt mean actual connectors, I meant the connections list in the queue. Personally I blame a lack of female cybertechbabe today
  4. Yeah been fiddling with it a bit, from what I have read it appears to be a "SMTP Auth" attack, somehow one of our users details have been comprised and those details are now being used to authenticate against our server for relaying mail. We were configured to prevent unauthenticated relaying, but not for relaying via "legitimate" authentication. I have implemented a few procedures I found at msexchange.org and so far it seems to be doing the trick
  5. Cant remember the last time I looked at the queue, but our mailserver is showing thousands of messages in the queue. Looking at the SMTP connectors, it seems we have hundreds upon hundreds of connections from all kinds of asian places and taiwanese and what not. It almost looks as if we are being used as a relay for spam, though I was sure we were all nicely configured to prevent that. Anyone seen something similar?
  6. Nothing to do with work, I am after a new camcorder for home, just wondered if anyone out there had any recommendations. I've looked at a Canon MV930, though I have heard its picture quality on indoor footage isnt so hot, and looked at a Sony HC35 too, though again read it has some issues with reliability. Any thoughts on a good camcorder? It will be mainly for indoor use as I just want to film my little Bethany
  7. I like the collar idea...any chance of it being rubber or pvc?
  8. mmmmmmmmmm exercising cybertechbabes
  9. Much appreciated ! , gave them a quick glance over, they look good. Very professional looking, will give them a better read when I get a quiet moment
  10. Oh god !! I AGREE , no...no really I do !....I am in full agreement here, I couldnt be more agreeing if I was on the deck of the ship SS Agreement, heading to Agreementsville with a cargo hold full of Agreement Crates for delivery to Agreement International PLC. By the way...anyone seen the key to the Server Cupboard?
  11. Would be interested to have a read of your AUP Claridentech, I have PM'ed you my email addy, would love a copy of it if possible?
  12. Yeah....odd that they can remember their Cashpoint card number, but cant remember their personal password. Merely goes to show how much they think the password matters I suppose
  13. How much training does it take to know that if you give someone your login, they can delete your stuff? Surely thats not an issue of training, but an issue of common sense?
  14. They're female. Though I suspect its a generational thing rather than a gender thing
  15. Hehe, we do, and no doubt will. But the ignoring of that AUP still bugs the bejeebus out of me. Well actually no..thats not entirely true, its not the act of ignoring that constantly amazes me, its the fact that they actually cannot see why there is anything wrong with doing it. Even the year 7s understand that you dont give someone access to your stuff
  16. Why ! Why is it that teaching staff cannot understand that they should not let students logon using their (the teachers) logons? Why cant they understand that they have, via their logon, access to websites that students arent allowed on? Why cant they understand that they can, via their logon, delete all the files on the shared staff only accessible mapped drives? Why cant they understand that they can, via their logon, delete all the files in that teachers home area? Why cant they understand that the student in question has had their account temporarily suspended for a reason? I actually am contemplating going onto the server and deleting all the files in the staff shared areas/teachers home area, and sticking downloaded child porn into their area, to make a point. These are supposed to be degree standard qualified teachers, not a bunch of retards. Its elementary basic security 101. Seriously, I mean would they give their bank card and pin number to some student? or their car keys? or their home keys? I swear at times that I think the sooner computers doing teaching comes along the better, infuriatingly it seems that half the teachers in the country are incompetent, technologically medieval, unable to adapt to an unexpected change or just plain lazy. /rant off

Wasnt a bot, was a french guy who played nonstop for the 28 hours, whilst a raid group from a guild called Millenium helped him. He tagged the mobs, the raid group then killed them in a couple seconds.

  20. Ok...but none of those pink wafer biscuit things, makes a terrible mess at the bottom of my cage
  21. *slouchs back to cage* And no throwing biscuits at me through the bars!
  22. I for one feel that this thread has headed too far into food territory and not enough talk of techbabecyberchicks is going on. I am however happy to consider a compromise of techbabecyberchicks in combination with consumable foodstuffs
  23. 100 females...... all using PCs......scantily clad female PC techs....100s of them.................... *folds up in a ball of drool on the floor*

woohoo...got my 2 copies of Burning Crusade just now, queue outside Game was mad. About 50 people queued up when I arrived at 7:50am. By the time I had left over half the stock had gone, and the queue was still going. All preorders too...one guy didnt have a preorder and was promptly told by the assistant that he had no chance of getting a copy and should have preordered. He was mad, he stood in the corner of the shop for 20 mins just huffing and puffing about not having the expansion
