Never heard of them I'm afraid. We've been using Xinia toners for our HP printers for several years now. We tried all sorts of others which worked for a while before either making the printers squeal when printing or not print very good quality print outs. We then tried Xinia and havent looked back since and use them all the time now - saved us no end of money.

We've purchased plenty of refurb laptops from them/him in the past. We had a couple of issues that were covered by the warranty and were sorted out promptly and professionally so would definitely recommend.

Can you elaborate a bit more as it works OK in Windows 8, 8.1 and 8.1u1 for us (and many others too). Any screenshots of what you've done to deploy them would be a great help and you might get some replies

There's a local group policy you need to edit/enable so you can just enter a password shortly after you power on your computer rather than use a USB memory stick.

I guess it depends on if you want a warranty on your XBox or not - not sure I'd want to open up a brand new XBox (thus voiding the warranty) whereas if it's out of warranty then there's pretty much no risk! You're right about needing three hands though! I took mine to work where we have a proper IT workbench (and 3 other people to help me) to take it apart to replace the optical drive that was scratching discs

You could be right - or at least time for a new Doctor? Other that the first episode he starred in, I've not seen any of the episodes/series that Capaldi has been in - there's just something about him that (for me) doesnt make him the Doctor. I kinda felt the same way with Matt Smith but grew to like him as the quirky Doctor Who but there's just something about Capaldi that isnt quite Doctor Who-ish.

Will do! Well it is a bit 'rear heavy' which I have told him to his face and he said it's the engines fault and needs to be move further forward for ballast or something! He's got/had several patents in his lifetime and is quite an expert in this area and by applying for the patent but not completing the application you are in effect putting it in the public domain so anyone can produce the technology without having to pay any kind of license fee which is what he wants to do with this as it will potentially help fishermen in poorer countries cheaply build and maintain a fishing boat. It's also been published in a magazine with a month and year on it so there is the proof of when, where and whom came up with the idea! It's all been thought of and done in a particular manner to ensure nobody tries to stop people from using the idea

Our Academies DT Technician has been very busy during Enrichment time and has invented a simplified marine gearbox. Although a patent has been applied for, this will not be completed so that fishing communities in the developing world can produce their own fishing boats cheaply. I second that - assuming some sort of IT Support role is what they are ultimately looking for else something to do with programming like a Pi etc.

I think I'll have to so some giggery-pokery with the loopback setting and AD OU's then as a lot of our staff laptops have the users as local admins for something to do with SIMS so some users would be at risk if I did that.

That's where it was installing from. Using the setup.exe -ms (silent install) seems to not use the AppData folder during its installation.

FireFox uses the %TEMP% folder as part of it's install so that wont install for us. Our workaround is I tried adding it to the SCCM Software Centre and that installs OK. The NET2 security door software also doesnt work as it uses an AppData folder during the installation. *EDIT* With regards to Paxton's NET2 software, it uses the WISE Installer and after a quick google, if you use the /M option it prompts you for the temp folder location so we just chose another location and now it works
