  1. I think I got on something here. I have used suggested plugging for security. One of the option s create quite big .htaccess file with lots of options. I think it stops hackers, but as well stop to display images to not logged in people. I removed that file and few hours later site was hacked. So restored it and put .htaccess back online. Now working on it content, to make pictures on posts visible for everyone. Just need to find good tutorial on use of htaccess
  2. Thanks guys. They always replace index.php with own, either in root folder or in v7 folder. I have backup of the site, which is clean, as before they left few php files in random folders, last one I have found was cpanel cracker. So each time I just delete all content and upload backup. Website is not updated very often and it is being done by adult education staff, so sometimes pictures are missing and such. I have not designed my self and no way expert in webdesign, we hired someone who we know well. We already suggested child themes, we looking at it now, but something is not working as it should when implemented - site just crashes and goes blank. Work in progress
  3. Thanks, just deleted it. Playing with that security plugin. X13 not sure I understand what you said, the index.php is now how it should be. Just updated everything
  4. playing with the site now.
  5. did that already, telling the truth they are not brilliant
  6. I think hostings is not on dedicated servers. Normal FTP, can't connect with SFTP, is either easyspace don't offer it or our proxy settings blocks it, but I think they just do not offer it.
  7. Cpanel, we have to check with hosting guys, but all other things were just updated few weeks ago, and we thought it will help. All plugins and theme updated as well. The webpage address: claverham-education.co.uk , I'm fixit it now, so hackers website is gone.
  8. Hi Guys Hope you can help. Our adult education get constantly hacked, we change passwords, remove all dodgy files, what ever we can find, but after few days website is hacked, they just put own index.php. They leave all the content undamaged, but some files as well, like cpanel cracker - I usually upload whole website again, which is clean. But I have no idea how we can stop that. I have very limited knowledge about website hacking and website in general - someone designed website for us. We use easyspace for hosting, website is done with wordpress and third party theme. Last time I have change all passwords, cpanel, ftp, wordpress admin password, change secret keys as well - and today after a week hacked again. Can anyone help? - Kris
  9. OK, issue resolved. It was capita fault, there was a problem with their servers, but first they insisted we checked our server all over, before checking their own end.
  10. Hi Guys, maybe someone had this before, out intouch service is not working properly, after little investigation service setup missing some lines (those line were populated before) Line that are missing are Site ID and Callback service, picture attached Capita is very slow to respond
  11. Would that folder not re populate again and bring same issue back in few days. So far my opinion of Capita is even lower than it was before. Only because they have monopoly they are still around, if the market would be more competitive, they would be long gone or we would have much better service.
  12. We have all teachers complaining about how sims is slow to load, since the new timetable it takes ages now.

    Day Z

So guys where are you playing now, struggling to find anyone in my friend list who plays Dayz, and playing on my own is bit boring. Let me know and I will join you if you don't mind. - Kris
  14. How can I reconfigure that option? Can it be done without applying patch? Otherwise I have to wait till this evening.
  15. Guys can you provide patch number please? Have same problem here, 99% cpu usage, this a joke, always problems with releases
  16. Just solved a problem, notices one difference, web address in my login.ini was https://student.mylexia.com , just removed s from http, I guess it does not like ssl. Simple solution Thanks sted
  17. Hi Guys Have a bit of a problem with Lexia, maybe someone had it as well. We use proxy here, I have put all the details in lexia msi, works first day and than day after suddenly lexia does not want to work properly for that user. It really strange, but it removes proxy settings from internet options, it makes the field blank. If I manually remove local profile for that account it works again, but after I logoff and log back again same problem reappear. I used different combination of user types, students user with mandatory profile, staff user with roaming profile, admin user with local profile - all same problem. Waiting for lexia to respond now to my technical support log, but maybe someone here had similar problem? Thanks Kris
  18. Sorry to update such an old post, but hopefully it will help some people. Since we upgraded to SQL 2008R2 we always have trouble running FMS - the problem is if you install SQL native client for 2008 it will not work. You need SQL native client for sql 2005, than it work al fine.
  19. +1 for Shutdownertron, works great
  20. We disabled offline files as we do not use it and in the past it cause some problems. With search - when we setup new domain we have switched that on and than the server was almost unusable - because it indexing files all the time, so CPU and memory was always at 100%, making log ins really taking long time. So in the end we have disable it. Yeah you get annoying message unsupported save location but it does not affect anyone, apart being annoying. Since than we have splitted files of staff, year 7.8.9 and year 10 and 11 to different file servers, for load balancing, so might give it a shot now.
  21. We have windows 7 but with windows 2008R2. Instead of trusting the option to move files to new location, we just moved it manually. We just let AD created home folders for users and than just copy students docs in batch. I just don't trust Windows automation.
  22. Just install kms server on of the servers and machines will look for it over the network. But you need minimum machine numbers to make KMS to work
  23. Found same page and same fix - worked. Just wonder what cause it in first place, we have offline files disabled through GPOs. Thanks for help anyway
  24. On my network, kids can't search for shares - the address bar is disabled. But as and admin I type server name and shares do appear, just when I try to access studenthome share I get you don't have permissions message - all other folders are are fine and I can access them, just not student home. What else I just discovered, I can access student home if I type FQDN name of the server - strange.
  25. same problem here. Try login with admin account to affected machine and access shared folder for students home dir, see if it works - it does not for me, and I can access this folder no problem from other machines. We did applied some windows updates this summer, so maybe here lies the problem. But why would it affect only some machines. I will keep looking for solution, but so far no luck
