  1. iSAMS does all of that, to varying degrees. I say varying degrees as things like HR can be done but if you want fancy features, they aren't there. You can record information, like absences, but there aren't other HR functions. So check it does what you want. Academic reporting can be done by paper, email or publish to their own and other portals. The only thing you will have issue with is Timetabling. Ignoring SIMS, timetabling is mostly done with an external program to create and then imported to do the final steps. iSAMS has a timetabling module, and you could create everything in it, but it would be laborious and you would miss out on all the features of a full timetabling solution.
  2. Get tamed license flinger to calculate both options. Ours did some magic as we still needed on site servers, so we had part CSP and part OVS. Worked out cheaper, not by a lot but did mean we had more features.
  3. What we do is have a single GPO that just deals with AppLocker, that way no confusion or finding an AppLocker rule hidden somewhere. Then we use groups to apply the rules if it has to be filtered. You can't do it by device though. Maybe you should look at restricting CMD use via GPO? We have it set so if a pupil opens CMD it just gives them a message that it has been disabled. That way if a program runs as SYSTEM it will be OK.
  4. Sorry, SRP is software Restriction Policy, it was the precursor to Applocker. The updater is a separate program to Teams so it may have been overlooked and not been allowed. By allowed I mean flagged as OK to use. The standard shortcut references the updater first and then calls the Teams exe. We ran afoul of this as we create our own shortcuts and deploy them and only created a shortcut to the Teams exe, so the updater was never called.
  5. Is the shortcut you are using direct to Teams.exe or go via a different exe? Is the updater allowed? Are you running SRP or AppLocker?
  6. Just read this too. I can see spider crab being an issue, not a great connotation for some, but I don't see why Megrim Sole would be an issue apart from not a well known name. If it was offered I'd give them a go. I think the issue is that it is one of those circular arguments. Supermarkets sell what people know, customers buy what supermarkets sell so don't know anything different, so supermarkets sell more of what people know. Look at the fish section and it will be cod, haddock, salmon, tuna. My local has started doing a few little differences so I've been able to get monkfish but it really is luck if it is there. I remember Jamie Oliver and his friend Jimmy doing a some segments on foods we produce in the UK that we don't really eat. Langoustines was a massive export but I'd never heard of them. We really need to eat more of what we can harvest here.
  7. Yeah, did my place and the footprint looks overly large, considering what it takes me to do normally on a clear day. Interesting concept and nice to use as a rough guide though
  8. Are you looking in the Hybrid Exchange interface or the online one? If the delegation option isn't appearing on the online interface it sounds like the migration hasn't completed fully. I've just checked and we have the delegation option.
  9. Two of them are very lost at the moment! All the way down in Rippon!
  10. And destination? As in the account it is complaining about?
  11. But the account referenced in the bounce back, is it the same everytime or does it change depending on it was send to/from?
  12. Well that sounds like it was never on, so I would leave that be. It is just DNS records, good to have, but I wouldn't complicate matters until you are back working. Seems odd that the recipient is receiving the email but a bounceback is still being generated for the sender. It is almost as if a forwarding rule is in place to send to O365. Is it the same address it is saying unknown, or is it based on who the original recipient is?
  13. If RMUnify is gone I would suggest DMARC/DKIM/SPF record is incorrect. Depends on the bounce back. Are you able to post a sanitised version?
  14. Depends on how you do it. If you run 3CX hosted then key staff could use the app on their phone using mobile data to appear to still be at their desks. This goes for where ever they are, we have run with staff still answering their office phones while working at home over the COVID fun and games. There is even a web based version staff can run on their home PCs/Laptops. Both app and web version work really well. The cost saving really is in SIP, your lines and call costs will be way down. The only extra internal infrastructure will be POE switches if you haven't already got them, and handsets, if you need them. Again, you could run just the PC softfone. Our IT department don't have any handsets, we use the app and have BT headsets. I love it, so much easier.
  15. Looks interesting. Victorian X-Force.
  16. I have just been doing a load of HP laptops (could be G7) and I used the built-in wipe that had a cloud install and when I signed on using our domain enrollment account it joined it to InTune.
  17. Just to clarify, the teacher cannot unmute. They can set the pupil to be allowed to unmute and then the pupil can unmute themselves. No VC system allows, or should allow, someone to unmute someone else. It is a major privacy thing.
  18. I've noticed my chat window jumping all over the place today
  19. ISP? Or AUP?
  20. This is what I have said to management. We can try and make it easier but we can't hold their hands. At some point they need to actually look, think and own their actions. I stopped short of the usual idiot-proof quote.
  21. We use completely different formats for students and staff as well as different formats for Display Name so it should be obvious. Though not always a guarantee. We also have set all pupil photos to the school logo, where as all staff have their ID badge picture. So looking at a list of emails you should see which are staff and student. Still doesn't help though.
  22. Seems odd that the DfE kit is Neverware rather than actual ChromeOS native kit. I guess you either need to contact DfE to find out about the license or upgrade the license direct with Neverware. Have just found these instructions: https://neverware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/239646428-Resetting-everything-back-to-factory-setting-s-essentially-powerwash- I don't understand them but I've never had to deal with Neverware.
  23. Powerwash? https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/183084?hl=en-GB
  24. They do run a managed service and I know their network guys are very knowledgeable. Probably best you talk to them direct and explain what you need.
