Shouldn't make any difference. We had a Riso machine on our Papercut that was supplied by Sharp. The contracts shouldn't interfere with each other, you just end up calling different people for different the different machines. I would probably advise getting the contracts lined up. Before I came I think they had a real mish mash of contracts and Sharp helped consolidate them. Cost a pretty penny but that was due to them financing buying out some of the previous contracts. My confusion is why this would be any different from your PCs? You buy what you need from where you need it, just because it is on lease shouldn't affect anything else. Papercut can handle all sorts of copiers, it is down to supplier to put the embedded software on and then you just run the setup in Papercut. Your fear about prices shooting up when the contract runs out is slightly valid but you either ensure you renew the contract, don't use that company again when it comes to renew or get them to remove it and put a different copier in.

If you are not using GMail at all, I would turn it off. I would lay money on it being because you have it turned on for Staff, services are set to use GMail for emails by default, or by having it on it has generated some DNS or Internal pointers.

I'd turn it off at the domain level. Though I'm not sure if there would be any other fragments left anywhere. EDIT: just looked at mine again and in the GMail options there is an option to add hosts so maybe check that is clear also?

Something must be setup somewhere for emails to be attempted to be routed to or sent from Gmail. I just checked our admin console and there is nothing there at all. Is Gmail set as Off for everyone?

I guess it depends on the school. I would say a large majority of our videos are shared with Parents, for marketing or for prospective parents.

We have Option 66 setup, the server is on the server VLAN and the phones are on the phone VLAN. Got multicast setup across VLANS but it just doesn't want to work. Just one of those niggles I work at when I have some time.

That isn't an easy fix as the way ISI works is completely different, OFSTED works at stretching point at the best of times and the criteria are different for independents and state schools. It isn't a private school issue, and it isn't an inspection issue. It is a people not being cruddy people issue and not putting the school before their pupils.

3CX. Very happy. Only niggle at the moment is getting phones to auto-provision across VLANs but I'm pretty sure that is my failing rather than the systems and manually provisioning isn't that arduous. Don't touch it for months on end but simple enough that I can do everything I need when I come back to it.

I'm hoping they follow the books and that aspect gets dropped pretty sharpish. I can't decide if I really enjoyed it or really enjoyed location spotting as that is my old stomping ground.

Started as shirt and tie here but we lobbied for Polo shirts as similar to Katy we were getting asked to do all sorts Term time and getting fed up of mucking up good clothes. I now wear shirt and tie term time unless I know I am doing muck jobs and polos holiday. Though the last year I have been permanently in polos as we have been all over the place. The joy of COVID!

I am not an expert but unless the child is named explicitly in the email it would not have to be supplied, though I may be getting SAR mixed into the equation. Even if you do have to supply it you would redact the senders information, in my view all header information, as well as the sign off and any other names, such as other children named.

What need are you trying to address by giving the staff a laptop each? I only ask because the device and setup will be very different if all they need is email, access to policies and a browser, to they need to be able to teach in a field. What does the school want to achieve? If you ask the teachers they will say they want a full fat windows laptop so they can do everything everywhere, but is that what the school wants them to be able to do and would it be more cost effective to scale it back? We are starting a trial of giving nice Chromebooks to staff for them to find how they can improve their Teaching and Learning. We have volunteered a group and we are taking proposals from staff for use. We don't need them to hook up to the front of a classroom as all of the classes are equipped, but we are working out how they can cast to the screen in the class. With ChromeOS they can access OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams. We are lucky as we are not on SIMS so our MIS can also be accessed via a browser. It will be interesting to see what limitations they find, if any. Just throwing it out there, may not be appropriate for your setting.
