Another vote here for Nagios and Cacti. Good bits of software, Open Source but commercial technical support available if required.

Yeah but they are all nameless SAS chaps and nameless Hostages and nameless Terrorists so it is all morally acceptable you see! Honest! -
....and a bit like Guild Wars.

Fairly poor taste I would say. Still, I will probably give it a try -
[news] On the spot fines for bad driving

Let us not forget that although the number of vehicles on the road has increased dramatically over the last thirty years, the number of accidents has decreased dramatically - there will always be some risk with motoring. -

Too true. But it is when the individual in front is going unreasonably/unjustifiably slow and it is not safe to overtake that really gets me angry (although I still do not tailgate). It is not like I drive an aggressive car either with a Rover 75 diesel being my current mode of transport. -
Lots of beer and bacon, egg, sausage butties. Seriously though, it might be worth seeing a nutritionist for some quality advice. You may just have a fast metabolism and that is simply the way you are built!

You could also try Airsofting. However, I warn you that it is dangerously addictive.

Some good advice on here, but running (real life, not the treadmill) is without a doubt the best from of exercise from a general fitness point of view. However, most people find that running distance is hard and guess what? It can be, but the benefits are excellent. However, be aware that running regularly and especially on the road can put a strain on the joints, muscles and bones of the leg and hip so it is important that you start gradually and work up to a decent distance over time. If you can fit swimming, cycling, hiking and weights (or the gym - personally I hate the gym and would rather work out at home) and or any other sport in during the week then you will start to feel a lot better in a fairly short period of time. It is also important that with this level of training, that you actually eat a decent amount of food and not cut down too much. Nutritionally it is important that you make healthy choices, but with the level of activity above, having some treats a couple of times a week is not going to make a lot of difference in the grand scheme of things. Also, if you can get a training partner (someone in the forces or training for the forces is ideal) then it helps to keep you motivated. Pete

I play World of Tanks, Dawn of War 2, Guild Wars and MicroVolts on the PC at the moment and play Borderlands and Bad Company 2 on the 360.

What a superb game that was. I spent many an hour playing it online. Other favourites include the original Rainbow Six game, Mechwarrior 2 and the original Homeworld, but to be honest there are too many fond memories of games to mention. Pete

I bought one of those for use at home. Must have been 1999 perhaps?
