I use a program called patch cleaner - PatchCleaner - safely clean your windows installer directory | homedev - software development out of the box Highly recommend the archive setting.

If I were in your situation I would explain to the head teacher that it would be a standalone machine and that she can connect to shares. I personally wouldn't bind it to AD if she is out of school a lot. Also explain that you aren't confident with macs and she would have to install software / manage it herself. If she's fine with that, let her buy one. Macbook pro's are far superior to any laptop IMO... dat touchpad tho!!!!! At the end of the day she is in charge of the budget... I wouldn't worry about that aspect of it, because you aren't paid to!

OK, I don't use SIMS... I am 100% a novice. I can create and run reports and that's about it. Assistant Head has asked if I can create a Grammar Tracker within SIMS. This is basically a table with the childs name, Year Start, Autumn 2, Spring 2 and Summer 2 as Column headings. Under the headings will be the childs name (preferably pulled from database) and then levels which can be selected. So far I have created Aspects (Name, Year Start, Au2, Sp2, Su2), Grade Set (1b, 1b+, 1w, 1w+, 1s, 1s+, then 2-6's) and finally a Result Set (Year Start, Au2, Sp2, Su2) Then I made a template under Focus > Assessment > Templates But I have no idea if this is correct or anything. Can anyone guide me a little more? Currently they use Excel which is great, but would just be better on something a little more... official. For other tracking we use Target Tracker and for some reason they don't include a Grammar section, nor do they plan to. Thanks in advance.

Is it IDL mike?! I have iPads in trolleys of 24 which are Partotec inSync which are good. I find it's not the children who can't put them away - it's the staff. Trapping cables and whatnot. If I were replacing, I would get some cheapo android tablets, a good case for them and then lock them down so they can only access Chrome or something.

I find the Kenanks takeaway to be much better than the eat in (less greasy) and they come out of different kitchens! Chips are better too.... Defo try it Patrick. I always go for the Wild West burger with chips and a tub of dirty sauce. Yum!
