I know there's some VPN services you have to be on network for. But a lot of the services you can be off network for. Best to ask the providers before you switch if you're interested in keeping any services.

Students watching youtube videos using Bing
Edu-IT replied to tmoon-mint's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Doesn't work. They're somehow pulling in the content and displaying it in a window. They must be passing the YouTube URL through some sort of script on their site so it doesn't present as coming from YouTube URL? -

My console is showing machines as on, when they're not, logged in by users, when they're not, and it's driving me mad. Only seems to happen for me. Any ideas? @ImperoMatt

PaperCut setting extra limits - Photcopying

You can only restrict colour copying there and if you restrict device access entirely, they won't be able to print release jobs. -
XBoxOne via Lightspeed. Captive Portal?
Edu-IT replied to bodminman's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
A quick Google suggests this won't work. Many having issues with hotel wifi, for example, which will use captive portal in some cases. Can't you create another SSID on your wireless, that the Xbox's can connect to, but isn't required to authenticate on the portal? If you can control when that SSID is available you can turn it off at set times? -
I think the point being made is that some of the services you use, are tied in to emPSN, even though they're not provided by KCOM / emPSN direct and are in their own right a separate contract. Those companies do offer services away from emPSN.

There's paid for software out there too. Codetwo.com is one I can recommend.

CSV files work fine, using the built in migration tool in the admin area.

I've got a Markus too.

This is set through the admin side of things, it's not down to the end user to do when they write their email.

Yes. You'll have one primary domain and then you can add in the additional domains. On the mailboxes you can then either add in the additional secondary SMTP addresses or script it through Powershell.

I'd echo the comments about not being a replacement for mintclass or show my homework. At least it's not something I've found it does.

Are you adding something to chase the mouse cursor too?

NRS. Not the cheapest, but does what it's need to, and support is generally good. -
No, both. You need the latest hardware and the latest software. Always.

If you look in Outlook, under signatures, does it show there? Could it have been setup for each individual user that way?

Do you have the newest Apple hardware though? If you don't, that could be the problem. You've got to keep at the forefront of Apple. I'll get my coat.

I stumbled across this. Surely there's not a need for these nowadays? Insight
