365 users not syncing to Exchange 2013 as Mail Users
joebryan86 replied to joebryan86's topic in Enterprise Software
Thanks.. does anybody have a method for adding users who are already in active directory and office 365? -
Hi everybody, Our staff all have outlook accounts and use Exchange 2013 and all our students have 365 accounts, 2nd year students show up in the staff GAL but 1st years do not. I din't set up the 2nd year students accounts in AD but when I compare the attributes of the 2nd and 1st years they all look the same. I have however noticed in the Exchange management console that the 1st years aren't showing as Mail users under contacts so my question is this.. How can I get my first year students to show in the GAL and in contacts within exchange? Thanks in advance

Hi Sukh, no sorry should have updated the thread. Spoke to our firewall people they were adamant it wasn't the firewall and said it was an issue at Microsoft, spoke to Microsoft and they proved it wasn't their fault either. Came back after the Easter break and the issue had fixed itself. I presume the firewall guys made a change without telling us

Hi, I have two emails groups (1st years and 2nd years) until friday staff were able to email these groups no problem. I go to send an email to them friday and about 2 hours later I get a bounce-back:- Delivery is delayed to these recipients or groups: Remote Server returned '400 4.4.7 Message delayed' And then Sunday I get the following:- Delivery hasfailed to these recipients or groups: RemoteServer returned '< #4.4.7 smtp;550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired>' I have checked our firewall to see if they're being held and also checked our exchange queue and they're not there (staff use outlook/exchange and students use 365) which leads me to believe that they are being held by 365. Can anybody help? Thanks

Hi. We have a student who gets the following error when importing .jpeg .png into Photoshop cc 15:- could not complete your request because it is not the right type of document This only happens with one student and it happens on every PC he tries it on. It's not the file itself as he has sent the file to his teacher and she has imported it successfully using her account. Has anybody got any ideas? Thanks

We have a number of students using reply all to send to teacher and student distribution groups, is there a way of disabling this in 365? we have quite a strange set up with 50% of students using office 365 and the other 50% using exchange. Any help in disabling in 365 and exchange is greatly appreciated - - - Updated - - - I should say we only want to disable reply all for students and not for everybody

Students Cannot save office documents to network share
joebryan86 replied to joebryan86's topic in Windows Server 2012
When they try to save a box pops up saying connecting this is when the user locates the folder on their drive they want to save to and the box either hangs indefinitely or in the teachers case at least 10 minutes -

Issue still occurring I have multiple if not all students that cannot save any office 2013 documents to their network share. I also have a number of staff who can save to this particular network drive but saving is extremely slow (10 minutes). I have tested it with a .txt file and these save almost instantly the problem lies with word, excel and powerpoint and probably any other office documents.I have added the file extensions as an exception within my anti virus and all have delete permissions which I believe could cause this issue. -

All permissions look ok though, and it's only office documents. Students can save a .txt document to their network share
