Well you are lucky to work with such teachers that understand this. See thats the issue, SLT see schools using ipads and come back to school and often put in an order for x amount of ipads without consulting IT. I've seen many posts/articles on this happening and experienced it in a school. From what you've said, it seems like your school has a bit of money to splash out on Apple equipment. For some of us we can barely afford a set of devices half the cost of ipads.

I'd say most IT Techs in education know that devices need to be administered via a MDM. I'll think you'll find most teachers dont think or understand why an MDM is needed.

Does the projector have hdmi? - Can you run a hdmi cable straight from the PC to the projector. Ive found that if any apple product is connected via adapters it tends to not work for anything else after.

Not sure if it's true about training but in the last schools I worked in, all teachers had to have a back up plan that didn't need IT. But I think all teachers should do that anyway.

So the phablet of yester year is making a comeback as a foldable one!
