  1. System Manager will only list users who have logon rights to sims, not all staff members recorded in sims may have been setup to have access e.g caretaker.
  2. They don't need to be empty, they could be deliver stuff. The bus companies haven't had an app telling them all their passengers schedules and whereabouts.
  3. I found this suggestion on another forum. Since I changed the setting I have had no one complain, and have not been able to reproduce the problem. Under the advanced tab in printer properties uncheck "enable advanced printing features"
  4. I don't think fixing those DNS record will help with your spam problem, they are for Skype for Business. Looks like you already have the SPF record, but if they have an on-premises exchange server you'll need to account for that and add it's IP address to the SPF record.
  5. Is the mail being forwarded automatically from her mail box? Mabye the council have set up a transport rule to block auto-forwarded mail inside their org but mixed up the sender receiver settings... This is the rule office 365 suggests you add to prevent email being automatically forwarded.
  6. Movie maker is no longer supported but you can still install it on windows 10 using Windows Live Essentials Offline installer. Microsoft don't provide a link for it anymore but you can find it elsewhere if you do a quick search.
  7. These disclaimers are often very generic or pulled from a template, do they increase the chance of your mail being marked as spam?
  8. You could use this to figure out where to place the balloons...
  9. Has any one tried the retention labels in Office 365 yet? I want to publish a test label to see how they function. I've created a label, but if I publish it, can I revoke it afterwards so it can't be used?
  10. Can you connect to the DC via Hyper-v Manager?
  11. Is "Allow remote desktop to this computer" enabled? are you in the user group of allowed users?
  12. Sorry if this has been asked before, couldn't find the answer anywhere and I wanted to double check In Office 365 Under Organization profile > Data Locations, I have Exchange - Europe SharePoint - Europe Skype for Business - Europe Microsoft Teams - Europe Does the SharePoint service here cover the data location for OneDrive for Business?
  13. Tested manually upgrading from 1703 to 1803 and 1709 to 1803, crapware didn't re-install. This post from Microsoft suggests upgrades should behave themselves from 1703 on-wards. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/whats-new-windows-10-version-1703
  14. 1803 has the OpenSSH client enabled by default, that's pretty useful.
  15. The 1511 templates are the only ones to include a SearchOCR.admx which has a reference to Win7Only. 1803 is the only template after 1511 to introduce a new searchocr.adml, which has the Win7Only reference missing. So I think you'll only get the error if you have installed the 1511 templates and then the 1803 template??
  16. Microsoft Edge adds a shortcut to the desktop for each user, like Chrome does. Hopefully there will be a way to disable when the new ADMX templates get released.
  17. Yes, the provisioned apps I removed from 1709 stay removed after upgrading to 1803. I think from Windows 10 1703 onwards this is now the default behavior, so you should be ok.
  18. Most of the useless apps are removed, I have a few apps left on, calculator, photos etc. I think the only new provisioned app is Web Media Extensions, which I left on. All I've tested at the moment is an upgrade install from 1709 to 1803. On SSD went from 25 seconds initial login to 15 seconds Wondered if anyone else had similar results.
  19. Anyone tried 1803 yet? seems like an improvement over 1709, shaving off about 10 seconds on my test machine.
  20. Is it just me or does reveal highlight disable itself whenever you change focus, e.g selecting a menu button or if you click hide agenda on the calendar. Is this intended by design... I find it kind of annoying.
  21. That might be it, I only gave it 20 min. Would 24hr be long enough to be sure?
  22. I am trying to disable the Focused Inbox for Office 365 via PowerShell I've tried using the following PowerShell command on a test mailbox Set-FocusedInbox -Identity [email protected] -FocusedInboxOn $false Then If I run Get-FocusedInbox -Identity [email protected] I can see it has changed the -FocusedInboxOn parameter as expected. But when I log into the OWA, the inbox is still filtered to 'Show Focused Inbox'. Also changing the setting manually doesn't seem to update the parameter value. Does anyone know if this parameter still works?
  23. There is a 'Private Print' feature on our Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci photocopier that we are using. It's a check box in the print preferences that allows you to input a one time pin-code and store your job in the job box on the photocopier, which you can released by inputting the code when you go to the photocopier. It works fine whenever I use it and for most staff members... But for some people the code they input defaults to 0000 even though they typed something different (I figured this out by chance, after I couldn't find an way for job to be printed/deleted through the admin console) The first person it happened too, they tried again an their second print went trough fine. But I have one user who can seem to print anything. I cant figure out why, I need to do some more troubleshooting but I wondered if anyone else had come across this before, am I missing something obvious?
  24. Have you compared the rsop results, to double check there isn't a GPO somewhere you've missed?
  25. Does the menu on the not working computer look wrong for all users? Have you tried deleting your profile from the not working computer and logging in again?
