Wired network security with public/guest access
plexer replied to cogrady84's topic in Wired Networks
You need to provide suitably locked down user accounts for public use that don't have access to sensitive internal resources. Or if you knew they only needed internet you could change the shell to iexplore.exe or if they only needed word the same could apply. Ben -
I've been BETA testing it since the beginning. I've just given him a poke for you. Ben

I have it yes but that's because I'm a BETA tester. Ben

There is legislation that has to be complied to and that gives you suggested ways of dealing with this requirement so I don't see the problem? Ben

I'll have a look at my dist folder tomorrow. Ben

The trouble with getting in to FPV for me is that as a blind bugger err I mean spectacles wearer I don't think most are suitable. Although I am short sighted so I don't know whether having the screens so close to my eyes if I'd be able to fly without perhaps I can find someone to let me try. Ben

Very true but you can use a special url to give them the light version web app if that's the case and that's similar I guess to the current easymail functionality. Ben
-
Indeed but I'd still be tempted to get a guinea pig to stick in as a migration test, they will still use easymail for their email it just means their mailbox will be duplicated in Office 365 and then you can show that all emails were successfully migrated. Ben

Erm That appears to be what he's been asked to do doesn't say that it's going to be a written paper for them to sit and answer. Ben
-
What's that thing on ya chin? Ben
-
Yes exactly that. Ben

If the current easymail passwords match the complexity requirements for Office 365 you could change them to that otherwise I'd store them and give them the new passwords for first login to Office 365. Allthough you'd have to logon as them to change them as changing passwords as admin just generates a new temporary one. Ben
