  3. Yup just take the old kit to screwfix and get whichever one is correct. Test the shut off valve first though to make sure you can isolate it. Is this a new area of tech support for edugeek? Ben

  8. I was thinking that myself, probably won't be charging all devices at all times and with 5 ports I can label them so each household member has their own port and is not allowed to use someone else's Ben

  14. Indeed, eldest 2 go to the same one and youngest will be starting rainbows as soon as we get the details of local groups as things have changed since the other 2 went. Middle child also does Jujitsu on a Weds evening and various other after school activities for the eldest two as well it all adds up. Ben
  15. SAN's can add a lot of management overhead to a small setup and some form of shared storage to enable migrations of virtual machines is the more cost effective way to go in reality as school probably doesn't need instant availability in the event of an issue so you have time to spin-up your vm's on another host. Ben
  16. Allthough probably best to forget that as it's no longer developed nor is the d/l page current. Ben
  17. AUP informant is probably whaty you want although I don't think it's been updated for a while. Ben
  18. Still cheap hosting can I buy some please? Ben
  19. Aha thanks guys my google fu let me down earlier. Shame as I was going to use 8.1 as the host in order to be able to run some stuff directly. Ben
  20. I installed Windows 8.1 on an ML110 G5 server last night and went to install the Hyper-V role but it told me I couldn't as the processor doesn't support SLAT. It has VT turned on in the BIOS and runs 2012 R2 Hyper-V install just not when using 8.1 as the host o/s It's a xeon processor machine but I don't have the exact model to hand. Ben
  21. If it has lights and I assume it does if you could replace one of them with or add on an ir led you could then use the arduino to look for the infrared. Ben
  22. hmmm you can't sign up for one for either of the events listed and they expire in June 2015 looks like a marketing gimmick for some events? Ben
  23. Colocker | pioneer of locker-based colocation solutions You pay for a locker and in that locker is power and data so you can host a raspberry pi if you wanted to. Ben
  24. Ok but then the bad guy can only use those card details once and has to use his clone before the card is used again by the owner otherwise the cvv would be in the wrong order and for a maximum of £20 per card it's not worth the hassle. Still much more lucrative to suck up mag stripe details and encode them on to cards abroad. Ben
