Is anyone else experiencing flickering as the student types? It is not a local issue as only ExamPad+ does it.
-
Have you tried adding a folder to the end? We don't have this issue, but we are placing the files in a folder - N:\Exams

Issue fixed, but I have discovered another the start_fullscreen = false setting is not being used, the program launches in full screen with no ability for the user to get out of this. Great for somethings but when they need to also refer to a PDF document its not helpful, is there a fix for this? [exam_mode] ; Password invigilators use to close the app in exam mode — separate from the admin passcode invigilator_passcode = xyz123 ; Set to false to allow the app to be closed without any password check require_password_to_exit = false ; Keep the app window above all others during an exam always_on_top = false ; Cover the entire screen (including taskbar) when the app launches in exam mode start_fullscreen = false

No, I have just updated to 1.0.6 so will try again myself this afternoon. Thanks for swift response.

Has anyone else encountered a small issue with the screen flickering while the pupil is typing, it's fine when they are not? Only occurs when using ExamPad+

It would also be really helpful if the default backup location could also be added to the ini file, having it on the C drive is not idea as the exams officer cannot access that location.

Found a way to make it work - 1. download exam paper from AQA website 2. drag pdf into a new Google chrome tab - enter password when prompted 3. print the document and select 'Save as PDF' 4. open document in Acrobat and read normallywith R&W
-
Just tried that and it prints the document as an image.

Just downloaded the Biology paper for this afternoons exam and again it is passworded and not readable with digital reader. Exams officer cannot share the password with the students in order for them to open the PDF!

We have the same issue now, running ELAT tests, anyone else with problems on those tests? -
Easy solution - Unifi now package Adoptium rather than Java with new builds https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases/ Works better than Sun Java ever did.

We have been using Classic Shell for our start menu but want to move to the Windows Start menu. We have the XML working but does anyone have any pointers how to remove the unwanted apps ect that are added to the main menu itself, we want a clean list of only our own things.

Used a batch script that has always worked for us:

https://www.tsohost.com/ We use TSO to host our SCH.UK domain.

Yes, You cannot verify staff as you have an 'Edu domain'

Think we have finally got to the bottom of this, after yet another chat session with Google and chatting to a different person again, I was finally given this nugget of information: "Further, some videos are not eligible for approval due to the configuration and upload settings. Videos restricted with age, are not eligible for EDU organization due to the COPPA agreement you have signed with your organization" Videos which state underneath "Notice: Age-restricted video (based on Community Guidelines)" cannot be played. Others such as this one show a banner underneath allowing the teacher to approve the video
-
Thanks, we have already ruled this out.
-
Has anyone managed to get access to restricted videos? I have spent the last 2 days on various Chats with Google and keep going round in circles. Everything is setup in the admin console so that the Staff and Admin OU's have the YouTube settings set to Unrestricted. I have a history teacher trying to play a video - (I am told the exam boards provide this link) Any pointers appreciated.

1. Yes you can reuse Chrome licences. 2. Contact your Google partner, licences can be recovered by Google but the process can take a while.

Perfect, installed and launches immediately. Thanks for your help, I don't know what our exams officer would do without EWP.

I have gone back to the original 1903 image and .NET 4.8 is a standard item, this seems to be confirmed by Microsoft https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/jagbal/2019/05/30/what-version-of-the-net-framework-is-included-in-what-version-of-the-os/ We would like to upgrade to V3 but with the current problem we cant, all our computers have a fresh 1903 build so we cant install .NET 4.7.2
