Definatley the pipe was far below acceptable. I really felt for Iouri Podladtchikov and Ayumu Hirano though, I keep hearing talks about how the conditions are the reason behind the 'shock results' in the mens halfpipe where Shaun White failed to place, admitedly mostly from american sources. Conditions were obviously poor but it was a level playing field and both these two are in my opinion just as good as White and have regularly shared the podium or beaten him in other competitions. In my opinion iPod has a superior bank of tricks so It frustrates me that all these people work for years at this and then there deserving victory is pegged down to luck that White was affected by conditions which all of them had to overcome. Rant over

I made this mistake on my CBT coming round a mammoth roundabout. My headphones linked to the instructor also failed and I missed a lot of what was said before it got sorted, made no difference though seems you have to do something ridiculous to fail those things! Have a vespa myself, I thought at first riding a push bike would help but its not even similar. Unless your crawling at an incredibly low speed you will only adjust your steering cms each way for the most part. If you are riding in this weather invest in some serious gloves, heated if possible it will be a godsend! It's still a lot of fun in winter so long as you are aware of your limits but come the summer time its the best feeling to be on a bike rather than melting in a stuffy car!

Jeans, hoodie and converse most days, my school (primary) is incredibly relaxed about dress code. When I started it was all shirts and smart skirts like my last job, that lasted about 2 minutes when I realised I was one of the only ones wearing this and its not the most practical thing to wear :/ I do like to still make a bit of an effort to look smart when I have meetings with people from outside school though.

please keep your snow since you are enjoying it so much. I don't fancy snow here, driving to work on 2 wheels is a bit miserable in rain let alone snow Unless of course there is snow day!!

Thanks for the advice I finished R2 today and after reading your post I hoped that it would also be that bit easier but I thought it was actually slightly more difficult than R1. I think the problem was that i accidently ran faster, getting back to my house too early and having to lap the cal-de-sac for the end walk so now my neighbours think im weird -.-

completed W1R1 yesterday, seems like a long way to go until 5k at the moment but I am sure in time that will seem more achievable! Since it hasn't been long since I broke my foot oddly, I decided for now to have 1 day break in between each run whilst I get into the swing of things but I was actually gutted this morning when I realised that means I can't go onto R2 until tomorrow. This mind-set is more than a bit alien to me right now but I ain't complaining!

Best surprise a guy did for me was a scavenger hunt, he left little notes with memories or special dates on and had me go to each one and so on an so forth. It was a nice reminder of all the little things we had done together over the years...turns out he was a complete (unpleasant word) but I can't knock his effort!

This sounds really good I have never heard of the C25K but I am intrigued! My school were doing a sponsored weight loss before Christmas and it was all going so well, getting up at 6am for a run/stumble before work, eating well and then Christmas hit and it all went to pot. I need to get back on track and I am feeling quite motivated. The plan is too loose weight/ become fitter before a snowboarding trip at the end of the year so this will be a nice target towards that.

Managed to persuade the Head that its is vital I go all three days this year, happy days!

Yesterday was the first day back here and it was a complete disaster!! The wind managed to knock my poor vespa over in the car park whilst I was blissfully unaware and so it lay there in a pool of petrol and oil for the best part of the day. So half my side panel is now missing and the engine was completely flooded I had to send it off home in the back of a van as well as waving goodbye to my January wages -.- After sorting that out came back to the IT room (which was full of staff), to find the roof leaking all over the brand new laptops I have yet to set up and nobody thought to move them....ughhhhhhh!

School diners here aren't to bad they are big on international food so we get to try all sorts. Only problem is dinner ladies used to serving tiny primary kids seem to believe we all eat that sized portion! Most of us are doing a sponsored weight loss challenge for charity atm so no school dinners and the staff room looks like a buffet for rabbits -.-

Just finished The Tears of My Soul by Kim Hyun Hee. A very interesting book about a North Korean trained as a terrorist and how she deals with her actions once she realises life outside North Korea is very different from the image she has had beaten into her. Now I need something slightly more lighthearted though! So I am reading Train Man/ Densha Otaku. Its about an Otaku in Akihabara and his fellow geeks guiding him through his first dating experience. Its very sweet/scarily familiar. Its also copied straight from an internet forum with plenty of ASCII art included so I feel right at home!

I have just been speaking to someone from a new VLE called school spider because we are having a lovers tiff with Moodle and are hoping to change to something with a bit less work involved. It looks really good and ticks all the boxes in terms of what we are looking for. I just wondered if anyone was using it or had any knowledge on it since the first time I heard about it was about 2 hours ago.

This news is absolutely disgusting. Nobody should have to suffer like that and My thoughts go to his loved ones. What really angers me is the way people reacted to it. The attention should be on the man who died but 99% of what I have seen focuses on a whole religion or a whole race. Reading comments about how Muslim = murder its hard to see how they are any different than the two men who singled out the poor man just because he was a soldier. Generalising is dangerous not religion. Bad people are bad whatever they attach their hate to. We have had police patrolling our primary school all day because it's attached to a mosque which a huge number of our students attend. They are there incase there is an attempt at revenge by people who believe every Muslim is to blame for this horrible incident. They should try having to reassure a 6 year old child who is scared because an grown adult has pointed them out as being of 'the same beliefs' as cold blooded murderers!

Depending what printers you have, we use an app called HP ePrint on our ipads. It can be a bit flaky at times but the staff and children find it quite user friendly.
