San Andreas was great, the big variety of planes/helicopters was lovely and the amount of customisation you could do (go to the Gym, make yourself fat, endless amounts of clothing, change your hairstyle etc.) and it seemed GTA IV took all of that away granted, GTA IV's vehicle base was even bigger and it's always nice to have a big selection to choose from but I like to play games like these that allow you to customise your character a lot. Vice City is and always will be my favourite GTA game. Biased because I've always been 80s-mad anyway but I generally liked the game, I'd love to see Vice City return some day. Vice City + San Andreas' customisation features and we'd be sorted! I'll be buying it for the PC anyway when it's released. Slightly irritating that PC releases always come out ages after the consoles, but then I've always been a PC gamer so that's just my own opinion. The graphics should look good, but I'm hoping they won't balls-up like they did with GTA IV. That was so badly optimised.

Who's looking forward to seeing Trailer #2 for GTA: V then!? I know I am! - Wednesday, 14th November is when it 'premieres', more details here: Grand Theft Auto V Trailer #2 Coming Next Week, Wed Nov 14 I'm still gutted I won't get to see Las Venturas with the graphics they've got in store for this, but I do miss Los Santos. The latest screenshots are clearly proving that the map will be HUGE, especially with the country roads/beaches still there.

I know this is something I could 'Google' but frankly I trust this place more than those search results. Has anybody taken the plunge and deployed Windows 8 on a Server 2008-R2 network? If so, how does it work in terms of compatability. Are you able to still customise things with scripts okay due to not being able to use GPO's for it? Reason I'm asking is we're on a Windows XP/Server-2003 network and we're in the process of migrating to 08R2. We were supposed to also migrate XP to Windows 7 but the boss can't stand 7, so he's wanting to deploy Windows 8. Of course, this was something he decided after buying 08R2 and the license, so getting Server 2012 won't be a possibility right now. My main concerns are how well we could customise the 'Modern UI' start menu, redirecting the libraries and all the basic steps for setting it up. Cheers

I'd love to do that here, but we're only a small junior school (250 kids yet we have 2x HT's, 1x Deputy HT, 1x Director of Teaching & Learning and 8x SMT - I see why I'm paid diddly-squat, way too much management for a school of our size imo - anyway, I'm digressing. Seperate rant!) so it's all a case of "nah, we'll send the kids straight to you and you can come do it right away - whether you're clearly trying to mount a projector to the ceiling or not!" - helpdesk system would be shunted aside, so I just do my own 'worklog' sheet and fill it out myself. Pain in the rear but that's how it has to be for now *shrug*

Guilty as charged, mine's currently "Get Your Own!" Going back a year ago(+halfish) now for most of the year, we caught people parking up on the street (in front of houses one at a time) in the car with their laptop/notebook. I confronted one and he openly said he was trying to connect to the unprotected wi-fi's. Granted, end-user fault for not putting a password on the router but then some people don't bother because it's too much hassle/aren't made aware of the reasons for putting a password on. Anyway, the issue hasn't happened for a while but I've just sort of stuck with the name. Next door's one is "IT WORKS!", she's 'getting on' a bit; heart of gold but very very poor IT literacy, bless. I loved that language-teaching show, and the resemblance of characters is very alike (Witch, Wizard) Either way whenever I see a post from you lecturing about languages and correct use of words, I'm going to quote it with the theme tune. I bought the GTX 680 for my PC build, the GTX 690 came out 2 weeks later PC World are selling an AMD 6670 for 49.99. Not a bad card for that price, averages 4 stars on a lot of reviews - benchmark results look okay but you can judge for yourself! - the 9800 from NVIDIA is still superior to it, but they're still selling at around 80-100. Just a quick search I did though, I expect others may find better! Good luck

NVIDIA GeForce GTX-690. That should fit like a glove. On a WhySoSerious note: what's your 'budget'? - I'd have suggested a 9800-GT but I really doubt it'd do the job these days, but it was so win back in the day absolutely loved that card.

Hi all, I keep being given a bunch of these Emark book things to convert from 'sets' to 'classes' since the teachers can't do it themselves. They're basically like APP grids. Anyway, all I need to do is copy and paste columns from one excel file to another. However, not in the same order. For example: The data for Column F and Column K in the original file needs to go in Column D and Column P. All I keep getting when I try to c/p that is "the command you choose cannot be performed with multiple selections" - this is proving to be a HUGE annoyance as it means I'm having to copy ony column at a time, which ends up taking a lot more time. Anybody care to give me some workarounds on how I can make this quicker? Cheers!

Work ones are Mercury & Venus - we're cutting down to one 'big' server however, that's been conveniently named Jupiter . I've already decided that if I ever get to deal with a servers on my own, I'll be using Star Wars references!

Have you tried customizing the 'Notifications' area (bottom right, right next to the clock) - from what I understand, Battery is a System Icon. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Change-how-icons-appear-in-the-notification-area Never used CC4 so I may be barking up the wrong tree!

The laptops are 64-bit. I took a look at the computer we're using and it's infact a 32-bit. Also went and checked system32\spool\drivers, which is where our print drivers are (shared as print$) with the following folders: color, IA64, w32x86, x64 - the folders IA64 and x64 are empty. The drivers installed just fine when we setup the laptops though, they printed fine too (we sent test pages) - I should point out that Staff and Students use one mandatory profile. Staff.V2 works fine, they can print with the printers, but Student.V2 can't - it may well be a permission problem but the permissions are setup the exact same. @twin--turbo: To clarify, when trying to put the printer drivers for W7 onto our server, the laptops couldn't connect to it/locate the driver - even when we 'browsed' to the exact folder. This is why we had to setup a standalone W7 PC and install them on there to use it as a 'liason' for the laptops to connect to - sorry for not making much sense, please bare with me - networks aren't my speciality at-present. It's not XP/2K3 that I need. ------ In a nutshell: Printers installed fine on laptops. Teachers can access the printers and use them, Students can't. Asks for login, I use correct details and it returns a 0x000005(2e) error.
