Salamander already does that. At least, they did for us? Kids are automatically added to the right classes in Classroom whether they like or not (and this happens daily to re-add leavers.. wish you could turn unenrolling off...) It creates the groups in AD, yeah, but you don't have to upload those groups to Google. We don't. The only Salamander groups we push up to Google are Year-X-Pupils and All-Staff. Might be worth having a chat with their support and re-clarifying what needs to be done. As for your regex, kinda. By combining * (Zero or more repetitions), . (Any Character) and ? (Optional character) you might be able to rig something. I know I've used that in Powershell, but I don't know if Google will like that. As long as you allow emails to come in from @google.com, Classroom will notify all the students when the teacher(s) do something. Edit: Of course you don't have to answer that, keeping your setup private is understandable, I just can't see a situation where anybody who wasn't their teacher would want to email all the members of Class X. You can get into the really nitty-gritty of Regex if you want. Nesting capture groups and using the OR flag | lets you do a lot. Something like.. (Assuming x is a form or other, and not always an x) (?i)(^((7|8|9|10|11)(v|w|x|y|z)(1|2|3|4|5|6|7)-(en|mfl|art|sci|com)@yourdomain.gtld)) [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] etc will all match, you just gotta populate the expression with all possible variations. Ye olde necrobump, but did anyone ever find out anything about what causes this and how to prevent it? We get it here occasionally with our staff, W10Ent x64 1511, start menu redirected to network share via GPO, local profiles. Strangely never seems to happen with the kids. Or maybe I just never get told about it when it does.. A reboot always fixes it, but our users never seem to try that for some reason

Pretty stupid. I think pupils (and staff! to quote our staff handbook, 'Hairstyles and colours should not be extreme') should be afforded some reasonable degree of self-expression. If someone styles their hair into a big middle-finger, or gets a short back-and-sides but then has gang-related/nazi/etc markings shaved into it, then you have grounds to reject the style of offence reasons. But generally speaking, why shouldn't we give people the right to do whatever the hell they feel like with their own bodies? I've long resigned myself to the fact that that's not a battle I'm ever going to win, though.

+1 for 'Really not a Zelda fan' I couldn't really articulate why I didn't like them when I was younger, because I was younger, and less articulate. But I just didn't like them. Maybe it's because I was already more exposed to traditional JRPG elements, like earning money from killing monsters rather than rampant vandalism/destruction of property. It works for the two instances we have it here for, too. We just tell them to log in when they get on-site to sync up and do the same before they leave to pull down any files made that day. But I reckon if we did that en-masse here there'd be way too much confusion around file conflicts because staff would only bring in their laptop once every six weeks. And as @enjay pointed out shared folders are an issue. We have a large shared staff repository that holds lots of things like progress reports, lesson plans, etc, there's no way we could sync that lot, and if we did there'd be file conflicts daily. Yeah I'm with you on that one. A laptop we provide is considerably less likely to be infected than a standard 'home laptop' where the user has admin and whatnot. Lmao, if only Our staff leave their workstations unlocked when they leave the room, with SIMS and emails open.. They can be.. irresponsible1.. regarding data security. Admittedly I reckon if a thief was going to hoof off with a laptop they'd probably shut it to make it easier to keep hold of as they ran off, so it's a valid point. 1: If I'm being diplomatic.
