I partially disagree, it is your password and user account, traceable to you, if they need admin access give them a different account for it, separate from their usual account as users running around doing everything while logged in as a domain admin is begging for trouble. Also segregate what they actually need, of it's just software installs have a local admins group and even restrict it down to just the stations that they need. Sure there should be at least one other domain admin or password in a safe for continuity purposes but not too many more. The best way to describe this to them is that someone with a domain admin logon can read everything, all their documents, all their emails, everything and ask them if they are happy spreading that around, usually it is two separate issues, the continuity one and the software install one which you can get around with more limited local admin only Groups pushed out via special Groups in a gpo.

If it uses wireless then it is just an external camera without a viewfinder explicitly tied to a phone, what's the point, just buy a camera so you can take pictures without your phone, besides being Sony I'm sure it's tied into one or other of their services heavily somehow.

I totally agree, this is a simple narrowminded approach especially when there are way better technologies that already exist which would do a much better job at the petty eu middle managers say they want. If they are going to bother doing it they may as well do it right rather than use it as a platform to artificially boost the deployment footprint of their nav sat system, really just mandate it in all phones or something, way easier.

Yeap, I drive a 'luxury' (as defined in NZ) European car, compared to the stuff we get though they are luxury. The Japanese cars all have something called a New Zealand spec where by they rip out anything that could not be easily understood by a medieval farmer and then add a bunch to the price. As such NZ new cars all pretty much suck, stripped of GPS and a host of electronics, it is better now than it was where Toyota considered abs to be scary witchcraft that the New Zealand market could not handle. The interior trim and driving feel of the cars are also big differentiators. The average Japanese car here has an plastic interior, leather texture stamped out of what may as well be old recycled icecream containers. Cheap vinal and cloth seats. The quality differences are so evident they have gone as far as releasing euro spec models of Asian cars like the Accord where they at least make a passing attempt at interior trim and up spec the handling. I have driven stacks of different cars and despite the increased cost of a euro car here they are worth it if you like driving and don't want to be stuck in a sporty reincarnation of the contents of your recycling bin. They are also some of the few cars that you can still find in a manual gear box in NZ. The other option is one of the soon to be discontinued Australian monsters like the Holden commodore which are quite common, unfortunately the technology level inside most of them is governed by the same ideas that made model T's great, that they had to be fixable and understandable by your average blacksmith without training.

When compared with two os'es on the one physically accessible machines I think that is probably the least of the security issues. Also while it may be trivial for some it has yet to reach the pop culture status of proxies to bypass filtering just yet.

You would not change the van on the card, the switch would assign that port to a different undated vlan when it detected it, there are stacks of Mac addresses and they only need to be unique on your local unrouted network, your chances of hitting another one are remote but you can check against a list exported from your dhcp server to make sure.

One thing you could try would be 802.11x to put the machine in a van then setting a different Mac address in the driver of the second boot partition so the switch assigns it to the nessisary van.

I'd just worry about the perms, if they are right they should not be able to change anything they are not allowed to, also make sure the network discovery feature is off on the server and the clients as that is a security Rick and probably the reason they are showing up in network places to start with.

Yay, I finally have the update, double tap to unlock is cool, the camera is way better and datasence is also a handy feature, IE is better with a few more features like finding text inside a page built in. It messed with the colour settings of my screen though, the rich blue of the cobalt theme washed out, thankfully there is a setting to wind up the colour saturation to bring it almost back to it's former brilliance. Nokia pro camera is really good to and it is nice to have the radio option back even though I never use it.

The envy x2 can be quite good, really robust, I have accidentally stood on one which survived. Some have issues with the sound failing out and the edges can be a bit pointy for holding a long time. The battery life is epic but the touchpad is a bit uncomfortable. ASUS does a detachable keyboard one with atom cpu, I'm typing this on the even lower end Asus vivotab which does not have the attachable keyboard but I got it really cheap. I would stick to the x86 based ones as they are way more versatile, the Surface pro is nice but big and has a short battery. The next gem of atom cpus is close and will be way faster due to being based on the core architecture (I think) instead of the older atom internals. These should be much better when confronted with a little heavy lifting from time to time. I like my little tablet and for basic day to day stuff it has replaced a full laptop when mobile as it can run all the tools I need it to. The one thing that bugs me is the lack of an Ethernet port even on the keyboard dockable ones and usb ones can get cranky about needing stacks of power.

So that's happening there too.

I have a 2003 and don't consider that old, I don't make that much that 10 years is old, more like 15 to 20. Could have got newer but would have been a rubbish spec level.
