Little-Miss

This happens quite frequently and the only way i can fix it is to re-image them. I try removing from the domain and joining again, forcing GP and plugging in via network cable as the issue seems to be that they wont connect back to their wireless. The Wireless is group has a certificate and they are members of a group called wireless. I've asked this before but have never gotten to the bottom of it (and cant find old post!!). Is something timing out? The netbooks are used daily so it's not like they are left for long periods of time before connecting to the network... Frustrated and can't think of any technical lingo lol!

I haven't built one of these since i was in secondary school! But I've cobbled together a really basic one. 2 Questions: 1) You know how Excel guesses what you are typing once you've used it once? I want something like that in one of my inputs on the form. So i've currently got a box that says "item type" into which i type "monitor", "printer", "Chair" etc. I don't want to create a table with it all in as i'm not sure what will be stored (its not just IT). 2) Can i disable text boxes until a check box has been ticked? Thanks!

Just had a guy out to fix a projector. He turns up unannounced (said he's tried ringing me but i didnt answer) I was away from my desk. As it looked like it was just going to be a straight foward swap, i managed to get him in the classroom, (yes the kids were still in there, all were safe, yes i've learnt my lesson). So, he gets the old one down, climbs up ladder with new one, then proceeds to drop it from about 8/9 foot to the ground. He picks it up. I noticed the sensor cover isnt in place correctly, as does he. He then casually starts to try and wedge it back in with a screw driver. I stand aghast for a little longer whilst he then tries to jimmy the case open with a screw driver. Leaving dents all over the case. Then he tries unscrewing every screw he can find. At this point, i've told him twice that i am not happy with the projector, yet he keeps going and i'm convinced he would have put it up if i'd let him. I eventually say quite firmly (i'm not a very assertive person) 'please put the old projector back up' which he eventually does. I'm also pretty sure he may not have told his office what has happened to the Projector he's taking back, as he told me he noticed the sensor cover wasnt on properly, i said 'what? before you dropeed it?' but he says he was trying to sort it and that's why he dropped the projector. Could be true but i doubt it! Accidents happen, i appreciate that but wow... Collegues have said that i should report him, not really sure what to do, he's supposed to be back tomorrow with another....

Oh i get that, i just didn't think about it at the time as the system continued to let me put another delivery address in. I obviously needed it in big letters in front of me and then it wouldn't have come as such a shock! lol *reads recent posts* BTW....you guys suck!

Just thought i'd add to my ongoing saga... Last week, i got to such a point of frustration that i was going to cancel the order...so i contacted the finance company. Within half an hour i'd recieved an email from them telling me that there was an issue with the supplier, it wasn't just me with the issue but Tredz apologised to me and the finance company for the delay and that i would have my bike on Wednesday. Things were starting to look up. I've just had a phone call: Tredz: Okay, your bike will be with you Wednesday but we have to send it to the billing address because its a finance thing. It'll be Wednesday 8am - 6pm. M: Oh, can i choose a time? T: No, we can't control it. They wont ring or anything to say it's there. Me: But i'm at work.. T: Yeah, there's nothing we can do about that. Maybe they can leave it with a neighbour... M: Will they climb stairs? Cus i live in a flat. They cant just leave it outside, that's why it was going to the delivery address i chose. T: Oh, well....i don't know. M: Do they do weekends? T: No they don't do weekends.... M: Brilliant, they has been a nightmare from the start T: Yeah *laughs* M: Well, i don't have much choice do I... Oh and a note to guy on the phone, put it down before you start to laugh...even if it wasn't at me (which i doubt), it's still not nice... I've learnt some serious lessons from this.. Was really excited but this has put such a dampener on it all....

Yep. Plus he's Sherlock, can't see him being in both. It needs to be an up and coming actor....and a male, i'm sorry it has to be a male. I'm all for feminism, but sometimes feel it would be better off concentrating on issues other than what sex the bloomin' Doctor is going to be! I vote BoJo as next Doctor anyway...

I bought the bike I posted a few weeks ago (although people thought the front suspension was pointless, I still liked it). *sigh* So i ordered my bike online. 2 reasons, i really liked the bike and because they offered finance. I ordered it on the 22nd of May so it would arrive for the half term. I got told it would be with me in the week because of the Bank Holiday etc and that i would be contacted when it's due. Awesome. So i wait. I hear nothing so i contact them again. "Oh there's been a delay with the supplier. We're really sorry, it'll be next week now". Hmph...ok, i wait a little longer, nothing, so i contact them again (i am only emailing at the moment) and hear nothing. So i Tweet my frustration and get a phone call. "Really sorry, bike should've been with us today but it hasn't turned up, we're open to 6pm or it'll be in the morning". I also eventually get an email back saying "i can see you rang us blah blah" so i replied "no i didn't ring you, i got frustrated at your lack of contact and tweet. You rang me. Am i going to see this bike by the end of the week?". I've just had a message on my voice mail "Sorry, supplier has rang up, Bike wont be with you till next week". I'm so frustrated i don't know what to do. Do i just be patience and wait or do i tell them to stick it, but then i've got the whole finance agreement. I understand that they can't control their supplier but their lack of communication and what also feels like they're not too bothered. According to their site orders take from 2-7 days. Grr! *cries with frustration*

Still after a bit of software...or preferably someone that has an Access Database I could have a copy of pretty please. I'd make one myself but 1)I haven't got the time! 2)It's been years since i've played with Access! I don't wanna use Spiceworks, it's going to contain all sort of stuff not just IT. I've found a few templates online but they're far too covoluted for what i need. We are just going to buy a bog standard Bar Code reader and use my Netbook to do it with. Thanks

That's my thinking too, good ol' Neil. I don't watch a lot of DR Who but can appreciate it. I think it's a nice thought that somewhere out there someone is about to get their big break

Boring titbit for you all.... This amuses me greatly. I was sat in the foyer of the Marriott hotel in Bristol on Saturday, waiting for the "Creating Sherlock" panel at CrimeFest (stop laughing!). When the three creators walked in, two vanished around the corner but Moffat reappeared on his mobile and said something along the lines of "hmm, i've never had to think about that with regeneration". I thought it was a strange comment but then left to go join the queue. Got home that day and the news broke and i was a bit "ooooooohhhh!". So, i potentially overheard a convo about it.
