I bought a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D from Ebay (and it is a fantastic lens) for around £75, after considering all the extra money for the 1.4G really wasn't worth it. Genuine lens with fast delivery from a UK seller with good feedback. Just do your research first Good for portraits and when you want to throw the background out of focus from the main subject. Since buying the 1.8D it's hardly been off the camera body.

Hi Wils86 The new version will support quotas with several strategies (per group): Unlimited, Concurrent bookings or Per day/week/month.

Yes, it's virtually impossible to remove all RM software once installed. Re-install Windows from scratch - you'll have a faster computer and one which you can use properly

What amazes me is that there seems to have been zero FOI requests to the DoH to find out what on earth they're/we're getting for £60m

Exactly what I thought when I initially read that piece. Would love to see a breakdown of the costs!

Perhaps if the previous government had kept better control over spending and didn't choose certain contractors, then the mess they're in now might not be so large.

@creese Will the new model have a default (and non-changeable) ringtone of MC Hammer's You Can't Touch This?

Android 2.2 has native tethering and portable wifi hotspot feature. Used it last night for the first time and it works flawlessly.

The big question everyone always asks All I can give is "some time this year". My schedule is just so busy I have less time to dedicate to it than I would really like.

@garethedmondson Does the signal drop to zero when you hold it in your hand? -
Yes - that's a known issue. You must use it in one day at a time mode (this will be resolved in v2). Version 2 is not yet ready for general use at all. When it's ready for beta testing, I'll post a new thread on Edugeek

That's correct - the archive can be opened using 7zip (or WinZIP, WinRAR...). It requires a PHP version less than 5.3 and MySQL. For Windows, you can use xampp or WAMP packages which include Apache; or it might run under IIS - this hasn't been tested.

I'll see if I can squeeze this in to Classroombookings.
-
@LosOjos It's not a bug. It's a design feature.

Translated information on antenna and signal from a professor: Google Oversæt

This just demonstrates that Apple are a marketing company, not a technology company. It all went down hill when Steve Wozniak left.
-
Does the iPhone’s antenna cause reception problems? (UPDATED) Touching an antenna usually affects the signal. I don't know how they never realised this.

We're using XenServer on Dell servers that have on-board Broadcom NICs and they work fine. The free edition of XenServer provides more features than the free edition of VMWare, from what I understand.

Urbex is a fascinating topic. I've bookmarked some great sites over the years if anyone's interested - my urbex tag on delicious. -
I have a Nexus One as well

Ah. That's unfortunate. In my personal opinion, what you were originally told (about it running on that hardware) was rubbish

Most. Some are P4s, but yes - most are C2D with RAM between 1GB and 4GB. Mixture of IDE and SATA disks.
-
Without knowing the full details, I'd put that down to hardware and/or configuration. Vanilla networks can just as easily introduce long logon times - it's not just an RM issue.
