Xen is just as easy as VMWare (used), couldn't comment on Hyper-V though. The free edition of Xen has more features than the free VMWare. If you have the hardware to use, you have nothing to use by trying it. It's also the better option if you plan to run any Linux servers. Lol, not that revolutionary then? Considering VMWare/Xen can happily run those?

Why not Xen?

Yes - in theory that should work; as long as you don't have any form of authentication on your 10.20.30.5 box

Are there no offices or cupboards at all where you could discreetly mount them? There's nothing wrong with network cabinets, and lots of network cabinets doesn't mean it can't be managed properly.

Should have replied, "Canoe not get rid of 'em instead?"

itgeek: Not officially. I noticed a few people have posted some changes in previous pages, so those would be your best bet at the moment; but I can't say whether or not that will do what you want it to

I have some friends who are in to it, but it's not my cup of tea

Just wait until this is revived in 2014!

beeswax: I'm not saying they should be unsearchable or viewable at all - just that a gentle reminder stating that the thread is "old" and potentially no longer relevant could be helpful in preventing old ones being accidentally revived.

[php] Multiple Selections Checkboxes Forwarding to an Email
webman replied to glennda's topic in Web Development
You'll need to loop through the array, and append the values to your email content. foreach($_POST['periods'] as $period){ $email .= "* $period\n"; } Will result in (for example): * RAM * P2 * P6 -
Bossman and I talked about this last week, and thought an anti-resurrection feature might be nice. The reply box on threads over a certain age should not be visible by default. Instead, a message should be displayed saying something like, "This thread hasn't been active for 6 months. Are you sure you want to post a reply now?". Underneath that should be a large button should say "No thanks", with a smaller text link beside it saying, "Yes, I'm sure". Clicking the Yes link will then allow the reply box to be shown as normal.

Do you reckon we'll see those under the JML brand in the UK soon?

We had a close shave like that last year. The neon status light in the main power distribution strip for the servers had fried. The strip was labelled as rated for 16A, but it turns out the neon was only rated for 13A (internally). We were alerted to it via Monit - a small UPS that couldn't tolerate the instability of the power had shut down a couple of non-critical servers, so we went to investigate. Found the source of the problem, cut off all power and ensured our main ones shut down gracefully. Picture: http://twitpic.com/xwtnn Hope things are OK!
