  1. Hi kieran1990, unfortunately that won't be possible in the current version, as there is just one global list of periods for the times. Addressing this is on the roadmap for the future. For the time being, you would need to have a second installation.
  2. Hi, thanks for the update The date value in the URL should be in "YYYY-MM-DD" format, or if it is using DD/MM/YYYY, then the forward slashes (/) should be encoded as '%2F' (e.g. today would be 31%2F08%2F2022). So yes, this could be another IIS quirk!
  3. Hi Techie-v2! The `=` character in the URL shouldn't be a problem, as it's part of the standard for URLs when using query strings (the bit after the `?`). If possible, can you share the URL that is showing in the address bar once you get the URI disallowed error? You can leave out your IP / hostname / domain - just the bit from the classroombokings folder or `index.php`. Thanks!
  4. Brilliant, thanks for confirming!
  5. I think I've found it! It looks like the PHP framework implements a fix/workaround for sending page redirects when running under IIS, which seemed like more of a problem with older versions of IIS dating back to v7. Having tested it on IIS 10, the standard HTTP redirect headers/codes work fine. Until I release a new version of classroombookings, you can fix this in your own installations by putting a custom "MY_url_helper.php" file in application/helpers containing a function that overrides the default framework behaviour. View the code here - click the 'Raw' button, right-click on the page, then save-as. Just make sure the file extension is .php, not .php.txt. Please let me know if that fixes it for you.
  6. Thanks for the updates both! I think IIS might be the common denominator, but I'm still not 100% sure why that would be the case yet.
  7. Thanks for the info. If you refresh the page are the bookings still being created? Are there any errors in the log file (with the current date in the filename) stored in the classroombookings "local\logs" folder?
  8. Hi Techie-v2, sorry about that! It looks like you might be having the same problem as this GitHub issue. Is that right? If so, I still haven't got to the bottom of that yet as I can't re-create it. Are you able to share some screenshots of developer tools, or can you see anything in the log files that might be useful? Thanks!
  9. You're very welcome! Enjoy the rest of your day too I started messing around with batch files and Windows scripting when I first got into computers around 25 years ago, and now I build websites & software for a living. So you never know
  10. Try this: @echo off SETLOCAL ECHO WScript.Quit MsgBox("Operation will be executed - Do you want to continue ?",vbInformation + vbyesno,"Event log") > "%temp%\popup.vbs" wscript.exe "%temp%\popup.vbs" ECHO %errorlevel% if errorlevel 7 goto no if errorlevel 6 goto yes :no ECHO msgbox "Operation cancelled",vbinformation,"Event log" > "%temp%\popup.vbs" wscript.exe "%temp%\popup.vbs" GOTO end :yes ECHO "----- Operation command goes in here -----" ECHO msgbox "Operation completed - Press OK to exit",vbinformation,"Event log" > "%temp%\popup.vbs" wscript.exe "%temp%\popup.vbs" :end It seems like the key is to call WScript.Quit with an argument to use as the return value. In this case, we're using the return value from MsgBox() (the 6 or 7), and passing that through as the return value of the whole script.
  11. Great, glad that's working!
  12. Hi kieran1990! LDAP can be tricky to get right but it looks like you're on the right lines. Did you use the 'Test credentials' box on the right of the page, and if so, what errors does that show? The filter setting should be constructed in such a way so that the LDAP search that is done using the filter returns one result only for the authenticating user. You should look to include a section with a user identifier, e.g.: (&(uid=:user)(memberOf=CN=Staff,OU=Security Groups,DC=school,DC=local)) Hope that helps!
  13. Hello! Due to moving house and having way too many mugs, I'm offering these EduGeek and Smoothwall ones to a good home. Up for grabs are (updated 17/05 7:40pm): - 2x white EduGeek ceramic mugs - 1x white Smoothwall ceramic mug - 1x white Smoothwall ceramic mug - 1x Latte glass - 1x 1,000,000 posts insulated mug - 1x EduGeek insulated mug (* Plant and shoe box not included.) Free! Just pay for postage, which will vary depending on what you want but will probably just be a few quid. If you're local to Gateshead, Newcastle or Durham you're welcome to collect or I can deliver by hand. Available as the whole lot, or custom packages of 2+ items. Packages will be posted once all mugs are claimed. Craig.
  14. Hi @jazzzz20 It looks like it's a permission issue. Please check that reservation/local and subfolders - especially sessions - is writeable by the web server user.
  15. Excellent! Glad it's working
  16. The hostname it asks for is the hostname (or IP address) of the MySQL server. Usually you can use localhost or 127.0.0.1 if MySQL is installed on the same server as the web server.
  17. Hi! When I worked in a school, I built something called LoginTracker to do this (a long time ago!) It used VBScripts at logon/logoff to report the event + data to a small web service, written in PHP and using a MySQL database. It had a page to view and search for logged-in users and computers, and could be used to restrict users to maximum of one login at a time. The code is still online if anyone felt like they wanted a challenge to update it for their own needs / build a new version: github.com/craigrodway/logintracker.
  18. Yes, should be fine, but please choose MySQL 5 if given the option. MySQL 8 introduced a new password storage/authentication method, which is only supported from PHP 7.4, and this isn't yet fully tested/supported by classroombookings.
  19. I'd recommend upgrading the PHP version first, as it's very old and unsupported now. Then following the steps to upgrade v1 to v2 (if it is v1 you have - the version number should be displayed at the bottom of every page). There was a thread on here recently about which LDAP settings to use as well, which you may find helpful when you get to that step.
  20. Great, glad it's working!
  21. Hi! OK, that sounds likely. I think it could be that the installation page hasn't being able to detect that you're running HTTPS. You can force this by creating the file local/config.php file and setting the 'base_url' value: defined('BASEPATH') OR exit('No direct script access allowed'); return array( 'config' => array( 'base_url' => 'https://example.com/classroombookings/', 'log_threshold' => 1, 'index_page' => 'index.php', 'uri_protocol' => 'REQUEST_URI', ), 'database' => array( 'dsn' => '', 'hostname' => '127.0.0.1', 'username' => 'db_user', 'password' => 'db_pass', 'database' => 'db_name', 'dbdriver' => 'pdo', 'subdriver' => 'mysql', ), ); You will need to add your database details in here as well.
  22. Hi, author of classroombookings here! I'm not sure why that's happening, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the log file unfortunately. It looks like you have all the logging already turned on, so the next step is displaying errors on the page as they happen. Create a plain text file simply called .env in the main classroombookings folder (same place as index.php). The contents of this file should just be the word development. This will tell classroombookings to display errors when they happen - so try running the install process again and see what it says.
  23. Wasn't it roof works that also caused a fire for a fellow EduGeek school a few years ago, and ended up being rebuilt?
  24. Hi, that's brilliant - glad it's working! Can't explain why a restart of XAMPP fixed it, but that's IT sometimes For the attribute mapping, there are two things to check: 1) make sure you've set a search filter, and 2) make sure the attributes are filled in in AD/LDAP. When you use the Test Settings box, the attributes you want to map should come back, and be displayed in the results area.
  25. Hi gregray, that's great! If the 'Test Settings' bit works fine, then logging in should do as well. The only things to make sure are: - Tick 'Use LDAP to authenticate users' - this makes the login process check LDAP. - Tick 'Automatically create user accounts on successful login' - if your user accounts aren't already created/imported in classroombookings.
