@andyturpie: Which PE version are you using? The latest update is version 3.1, this uses actual windows 7 drivers so you probably don't need to create different images...........I could be wrong REF: DWN2959203

@dantheitman: We've been using them for the past year, found their staff really helpful and they never pester us. The technical staff are really good and have always been very quick with updates etc, had no real problems to speak of. You pays yer money and you makes your choice simple, I think all these development companies who use Moodle as the backbone system are all doing there thing and it's good to see a little competition. But to recap, no problems here

@CHR1S: Have you changed the password for the user who initiates the updates? You are still on CC4 are you not? Have you done a clean up from within WSUS to create space, I had to move WSUS from DC to Secondary DC because of this, Just looking at things logically

@Novalee: We use IrfanView Install to a share on the server with the plugins first then push the out the shortcut to the program set for the groups who require it, excellent batch conversion for resizing all types of pictures. Works brilliantly on Windows 7 probably the best free picture resizing apps out there along with other functionalities. Enjoy Damn DaveP! you beat me to it hehe! ;-)

As @synaesthesia: Virtualbox is the way forward and everything he states is do-able and works well, be aware of the size of the VM image, this depends on the programming software you install as part of the image build within virtualbox as it can get up to 30+ Gb in size and this can fail on the deployment side of things. You can as has been suggested run a Linux flavoured distro as the VM but might be a little confusing for the staff who are used to Microsoft platforms hehe!

@witch: MSSB ;D All those links apart from the last one are free to use and would not take much time at all in setting up as in software having to be installed as they are all web based. Simple to use for the end user and no having to send 2 e-mails one with the encrypted zip file attached and one with the password which slows the process down. Your call MSSB just happy to be of service

Hi All, Have a strange one here in that our Careers Co-ordinator has signed up for "Think Future" website service which is run by Pearson. Problem is when the Careers Co-ordinator has created an account after using the login details provided from a staff member at Pearson, we do not receive the automated welcome e-mail which allows us to activate the account. I have tried using 3 different browsers as they have mentioned it could be a browser issue and still no e-mail, have checked the Co-ordinators spam box and it is not in there, when the staff member from Pearson sends an e-mail we receive this no problem, I have checked the e-mail queues and there is nothing being held. I wondered if anyone else has had problems regarding this automated e-mail response from [email protected] ? Any help appreciated Bossman

If I was you I would give it to me "Bossman" if you had no need for it as you have suggested Not that I really need it so then that would cause a conundrum! I know give it to charity! Probably because Sims is not a true relational database more a patchwork of tables cobble together and data extracted with rather long SQL code which is possibly why it is slower than most databases of the same ilk. I could be wrong but then again I might not be too far off the mark, as Capita add more and more functionality by way of more features it actually makes it slower. What do you all think?

@Miscbrah: If you look in the services.msc on the server do you have a service called pml driver hpz12? If you do disable and stop the service, its from your HP printer driver installation and it is not required. Also with HP printers or most printers in the registry HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers you will see all your printers listed click one of the plus signs alongside to open the contents up and you may see a folder with the name Copy Files, backup your registry first then delete this folder with the name Copy Files and see how you go from there, I had the same trouble a while back and this is what I did from some post I found buried deep on a forum like this one. We found that if the computer doesn't have headphones or audio connections fitted (Speakers), Youtube videos will not play as it seems they use a syncro tool embedded on their streaming servers so that the sound and visual are in sync, Also it is aligned to certain audio chipsets as we found this out from having a problem earlier on with Youtube in one of our ITSuites, problem solved by using a dummy audio cable which is shorted to dupe the computer in to thinking it has audio connected and hey presto it works. This is what we have found anyway, Good Hunting
