Henry is made by Numatic International Limited not Hoover and in any case according to this man we Dyson the floor The best vac I ever had was a Hoover upright, which my Aunt gave me in 1980. It was probably third or fourth hand when she got it a number of years before. It was still going strong when I left Australia in 1993. I donated it to the local church and they are probably still using it.

The ginger nuts are a better reference as bananas come in many sizes.

Smart Four Twos don't have them either, for two reasons I think. The car isn't big enough to carry a spare and the front wheels are a different size to the rear. When I was thinking about buying one, the dealer said they would throw in a years RAC membership. I think most new cars have that in any case. It was part of the deal when I bought my new Kia.

I don't have a mobile either. I chucked mine away 12 years ago. This puts Galway and myself in very elite company, as Tom Stoppard and Paul Merton don't have mobiles either. OK, so I can't reach Stoppard and Merton at any given second, but since I don't know either of these fine gentlemen personally, that isn't a huge problem.

You need a shed. Every man should have a shed. Perhaps you can rent a lockup? Luckily, the house where I live came with a garage, which is my gym come shed. The car stays outside. Like my Dad's car, if it didn't rain, it wouldn't get washed.

Why sign up with another breakdown company. Just tow it far enough away to qualify. Generally if a car has been running fine and when you come back to it, it doesn't go, it's either fuel starvation, or flooding. Either way, you need to pop the spark plugs out and have a look. Often, if you leave it overnight, they will magically spring into life when next you try, although if you have discharged the battery, you'll need jumper leads. If it is fuel starvation, clean the fuel filter and give and try again. If it nearly starts, but doesn't quite want to go, a squirt of aerostart usually does the trick.

I use a trackball, there-by avoiding the problem

I've used Computer Recycling Birmingham | IT, WEEE, Computer Recycling and Destruction in Birmingham for hdd disposal. They used to have a video on their site of the hdd muncher; there is a photo in one of the scrolling pix. It's damn thorough!

[joke] When the inventor of the USB stick dies...

When the inventor of the USB stick dies they'll gently lower the coffin, then pull it back up, turn it the other way, then lower it again. Courtesy of Sickipedia.org -
Rent depends very much on where you live. I pay £450 per month for a two bedroom house in a very quiet street in the Black Country. I love the space!

I suppose a driverless car won't do this sort of thing Satnav plunges £96k Merc into river. On the other hand, maybe it might happen more often.

I like my bananas quite ripe. The window of perfect ripeness is very narrow this time of year, unlike in winter, where they sit there and can take weeks to reach the perfect sogginess. It they go too far, you can always make smoothies from them.

Three others, although we are one member of staff down at the mo.

I've read that is why the Xerox Alto was made the way it was and a paper white screen too. Typists would be familiar with what it did. We still haven't caught up. I see you have two mugs on your desk. Is one cooling while you slurp from the other? I must try that - maybe I won't as I'm down to 5 coffees a day now.

I agree there is no point in completely remaking a film. All remakes are poor copies of the original, except for "The Return of The Magnificent Seven"; they simply remade "The Magnificent Seven" and it is equally as good. (yes I know that is a remake of "The Seven Samurai"). This new Mad Max, might just as well have been called F&F8 or Death Race2. Little known fact for you F&F fans - it's a remake of a 1939 film of the same name. The original pops up sometimes on Movie Mix.

Already have a toned, athletic body and perfect skin to boot!

Oh dear! This looks to have all the usual problems with a reboot - the only thing it shares with the original is the title.

the second monitor, which is only ever used if I'm editing a really wide image, so is off 99% of the time the Mac is asleep as we have no students using the Mac suites the trackball on the left, even though I'm not sinister the banana is ready to eat today; the best place I've found to ripen bananas is on the PC

Moodle - Host Ourselves or Use Hosting Service
unixman_again replied to gopackgo's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
We host it ourselves too. It's very handy to be able to clone your setup and practice an upgrade before you do it on the live moodle. Moodle is a great system but upgrades can be a pain, especially if you have a lot of plugins (which we do). -
