As above. I stick to ASUS motherboards, as I know that there won't be any problems. I don't run anything other than the built in graphics card now, but as above nvidia work fine. Again, RAID can be a problem, which is something that I do use. I recently reinstalled by box from OpenSUSE 11 (getting a bit old) and I wanted to use FreeBSD. I couldn't get it to recognise my RAID, nor would PCLinuxOS or Slackware. I wanted a distro without systemd and ideally RPM based. I eventually gave in a went with Fedora - it has the pain that is systemd but my RAID works.

Excellent tool which Moodle users might find useful. https://moosh-online.com/ If you get timeouts trying to delete users using the web interface, this tool will overcome that problem. It's a bit of a pain to get working on Windows. Retuned my Freeview box last night and gained the Smithsonian Channel, just in time to watch a program about the Saturn V. There are a couple of other programs about the Apollo missions in too.

I use a track ball (a 15 year old Logitech Marble Mouse). I use it in the left hand, even though I'm right handed. It took a bit of getting used to, but I've never looked back. I use a Dell SK-8115 keyboard. They are quite flat which helps me. I've got a couple of spares for when mine dies, but I don't think that will happen any time soon as they are quite robust. The Mac keyboard is quite good too; again it is quite flat.
