As some of you may be aware my bike was stolen way back at the start of the year, having been a victim of petty crime several times and the police being their typical uninterested selves I've ended up with a couple of sites that look at combating the problem... Would love any feedback on them... I have Stolen-Bikes.co.uk Essentially a bike register, people go online, enter details about their stolen bike then it gets published through various channels in the hope that someone might come into contact with it. Then there's Find That Bike (replacing Bike Finder in the new year) This combines adverts from the big two classified providers (eBay and Gumtree), allowing victims of bike theft to search all from one place. We also offer email alerts so it makes things much easier to keep an eye out for a specific bike. As I say any feedback/comments on either is much appreciated I'm really looking for ideas on how to expand either service, I've also setup social media accounts to if you've be kind enough to follow/plus/like you'd make me very happy.

CsNewMedia.co.uk is a good shout, I've tried other web hosts but always end up back with them.

Got this one too, never had a problem with the sensor and I bought one with a second remote (so me and my partner have one clipped to out belts). I don't think you can go wrong as long as it has a movement sensor and temprature control.

No it's the ST220, 3ltr petrol. It's got no problems starting and none of the electrics are showing signs of the battery being low will have to see what the mechanics say but I think something else might be at play. Anyway checked her in to the garage today so will see what they say, best case is what they did before was wrong and they'll do all the new work for free or reduced cost..

Sorry @twin--turbo the solenoid was me trying to be smart (they didnt tell me what it did just the they replaced it as the error code came from the emission unit, i put 2 and 2 together to make 5).. I'm getting these errorcodes from the dash unit, as I havent got a self tester (although that and a haynes manual are on the christmas list) P.S It's a 53 plate Mondeo ST with fsh and 43k on the clock so shouldn't be having any major issues

There pretty much standard and just use the belts to secure a fit... I got mine from kiddie care (there own brand) and it's perfect in any car (good from new born until 4). When he was younger though we used a Graco all in one as it offered a better seating position and a snugger fit, as well as allowing us to move from pram to car without waking him up. The graco also came with a base to leave in the car which made the transfer easier.

And the lights back on... this time it's both flashing and staying on so I think I have two problems. I sense a "why don't I have a rubbish car" thread coming on.. P.S It's the original error (ER 0209) + one that appears to indicate a low battery (DTC 9318 - Battery Voltage less than 10v), anyone with a bit of car know how able to answer some questions... Would the current weather potentially have cause my low voltage? (and will it go away when it dries up?)... Would a low voltage cause the idle to be slightly off? (only slightly it's not struggling but unlike before I can feel the idle through my pedals and it doesn't feel consistent) Since I took the car back I've heard a random knock, which only happens completely randomly rarely in quick succession (two knocks in ten seconds happened only once) but usually just the once every 20 minutes or so (it sounds just like someone knocking on the bonnet), any ideas? Anything lose that the mechanic might not have put back correctly that can potentially cause this? p.s The first error code was the emission unit, which I was told was caused by a misfunctioning solenoid that measures the exhaust fumes.

Just had to fork out £90 because my engine warning light came on (turns out a sensor needed replacing) P.S My first car...

With gas/boilers it's best not to mess about if you think somethings a miss, having suffered CO poisoning it's not a nice thing and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

More an FYI than anything else The screen on the nexus 7 is directly attached to the touch sensitive bit so the slightest crack to the screen and you have to replace both (I think the manufacturer quotes £150 to do this)

If you've not built up a decent feedback score on ebay, it might be worth selling it on eBay just for that.

Don't suppose anyone is looking to buy a broken (screen cracked, and thus touch not working) Nexus 7?

Spiceworks supports AD accounts, but you may be better off using the email logging feature no random helpdesk for the user just drop an email to it and it will all be done for you.

I beleive from what my girlfriend says the guys where playing with just about everybit of the car... So I wonder if they've hooked it up to the ECU as well. It's a big bit of electronics for just a gps and accelerometer. I've just insured my car with Bell/Admiral, the quote they gave me was around £350 less than any others.. When I got in contact though they said this is part of the "safe driver" scheme... Essentially it works with a tracker installed in your car that monitors... from what I gather pretty much everything, after six months if your a "good driver" you get a further 5% (or even 20% discount). It's been fitted to my car today, but I'm wondering if anyone else has/had one and could shed light on what you can and can't get away with? P.S if your what they deem a "bad driver" they'll add a surcharge of 5%/20% to you bill

EEEEEE bought a new car, picking her up at the weekend... Ford Modeo ST220, 56,000 miles, £3,675 Petrols going to be a bit pricey but I'm not planning to commute in it, more a weekend car.

@JAB1a What sort of fly time do you get with these things, and what about range? I was looking into these as part of a "Bait Bike" project I'm doing...

Did you do any research with the Mondeo, is that a normal maintance bill? I've been thinking about a Mondeo Estate (ST220) as my first "good" car but having read what you've put here not so sure now.

In the absence of a GPS device, if someone does see it locked up please place your own lock over the top of it and phone the police, this should stop it going to walkies whilst the police get themselves in gear.

The bike below was stolen from Leicester in Feburary, it turned up twice on Gumtree in London last month but unfortunately the Met Police are worse than useless and failed to get off their backsides ("we don't have the time at the moment, maybe in a week or two")... If you spot it on your travels please let me know and if it's safe (for you) to do so rugby tackle whoever is on it (don't worry they deserve it for buying stolen goods).
