Hi all, Trying to import the Realtek drivers into wds, but it failes no error message just this: So can't image the machine... Not really sure what to do next, Anyone have any ideas?

Hi all, I have personal recently taken over a swim school and want to look at using sort of an MIS System to manage it. Looking online the software out there is really dated, online only or really expensive. Just basically looking for: - an integrated calendar, so can see the lesson times and groups. - Classes - student list - parent list - staff list - payement records. Was thinking it shouldn't be too difficult to make something for this, i have a little experience in using VB in the past but this hasn't been for years. What would you guys start with or would you even bother? the previous owner just used excel but he has over complicated everything on it.

Just a random one, does anyone have a guide of how to actually create and image and an unattend.xml for windows 10. Want to just put Office 2016, VLC player and Adobe Reader on the Image. We used WDS but have SCCM setup and want to use that in the future, Thanks in Advance Ben

Its all down to NTFS Permissions, you can either add you account or as we do we create a security group in AD called "IT Services" then add our users too it, when we do our servers we set the NTFS permissions so that the "IT Services" Security group has Full Permissions on the folder

i personally want to do the VMWare ones, Microsoft would be useful

unfortunately it seams at this time there isn't an option to change it, however with server 2016 just round the corner, hopefully microsoft will realises some more gpo options for windows 10... Hopefully that is :L

most ups' come with software that automatically shutdown servers once it drops below a certain battery level

i just exported one from our test machine, use gpo files to deploy it to our machines (C:\ITServices\StartMenu_%user%.xml) (%user% = Staff or Student) then use gpo Policies>Administrative Templates>Start Menu and Taskbar>Start Layout and selected the file per user (Separate GPO for Students and Staff). If a room has different software we use the gpo files to push it out.

Nearly finished with our windows 10 image, haven't really had any issues with locking it down, only real issues we have had is with the start menu, but am using the xml file to only display what we want in certain rooms, not installing the crap that people requested and then never used, just sticking to the basics then little extras in certain rooms! - - - Updated - - - make sure you go to server 2012 r2 as 2012 is now old, go to the latest! but as others have said you can import the admx into 2008r2

Has anyone on windows 10 used HyperV for student VMs Windows 10 Pro / Education allow you to enable HyperV and we were wondering if this would be better than using virtual box as it is a native feature, Are there any GPOs to restrict creating new VMs etc? Thanks in advance
