  1. @Snookered I'm here for any CV help you might need Other than that - have you actually pointed out the problems? I would send an email in a "more in sorrow than in anger" tone of voice - as in "I understand that you need the space I was in, however I am concerned about the other occupants, and indeed any children that might come in.." And then go on and state what you can see being an issue - space to disassemble, children and staff disturbing admin staff as they come to you, noise etc. If you think you will be leaving anyway it is worth a go. And then do what @TechMonkey said
  2. I think a lot of it is a basic "side-ness" coupled with living in the world that we do. Only a few left-handed guitarists bother to restring their instruments, and, whilst you can play a trumpet left-handed, you cannot play a French Horn with anything other than your left hand on the valves - you can't turn it over! I deliberately do a lot of things left-handed purely because I cannot bear the thought of having a side that is next to useless. The handwriting question is an interesting one. mrwITch writes appallingly with his right hand, but does everything else left-handed so I think he should actually be left-handed. His younger sister IS left handed and has large, neat writing. Weirdly, mrwITch will lay the table for left-handers automatically, even though he eats as if right-handed
  3. One of the first things i did in one of my jobs was to get rid of as much daisy chaining as possible. So now I have one switch that connects to the outside as it were and then each switch connects directly to that one. It was the best I could do with the organisation and switches that were there.
  4. Lucky I collared you then, wasn't it Try and post a bit more this year!!!
  5. didn't get that much this year but over the years I have accumulated one Ruckus puppy, a toucan, two Softcat cats, a donkey and three teddy bears
  6. Yes - he or she will get you to do the exercises so that they can see if there are any problems - such as a weak muscle somewhere, and give you strategies to combat these as well as showing you how to do the exercises properly
  7. Daughter's boyfriend worked at Tesla over the summer and got to drive them all over Southern England. He was coming down to see us as one event was nearby but it got cancelled, sadly
  8. You missed ALL the posts I put up about it being kiss a ginger day - and the fact that it has often been mentioned that the colour of my avatar's hair is pretty accurate!
  9. The only electric car I want is the Tesla...
  10. But..but...I was there which helped a bit?
  11. I also met quite a few people who waxed lyrical about how amazingly useful, and lifesaving, edugeek has been for them at one time or another. I did a bit of wandering around with a few lanyards, telling various stands all about edugeek and quite a few were interested. One or two logged on straight away to have a look!
  12. I got a cable tester from switchshop along with a memory stick, a nice torch and some sweeties Had a great time running around with @BKGarry finding bags. I distracted them and he swooped in...or else we just said "Can we 'ave a bag?" which worked quite often. I got a LOT of bags
  13. Only another half an hour and I am out of here and on my way to BETT
  14. Tell them you have to go and have a tech-talk on a certain stand and you wouldn't want to stop them going and doing what they want to do so they must run along and have fun while you work...and then come and meet ME!!
  15. Watch it, you if it comes down to the wire, an older lady with a disintegrating foot and a heck of a way with CVs will beat a...What are you again?
  16. I rather think you might be mistaken, old boy. Tis the heathens "oop North" who are the rude, uncivilised brutes
  17. Ohhhhh *sniff So kind of everyone
  18. Smarties - I want smarties please - one of my favourite foods I have filled in my @Net-Ctrl slip, got my badges, sorted a bag - now I have just got to work out which clothes will be the most comfortable and yet stylish. Might wear the purple boots @Little-Miss
  19. A PT for setting up an exercise plan is a great idea - he/she will study you and see your strengths and weaknesses and set up stuff specially for you. Might take more than one session though but no more than 3. As for exercises - looks reasonable although you could do with mixing it up a bit rather than doing the same thing every time. You can maximise your weights exercises or so my PT says, by doing the pyramid - 8-10 reps of something pretty heavy, 10-12 of a medium and then 15 reps of something near what you are doing now. Very short breather between sets.

    Snow

Was -2 this morning. Has now struggled up to 1 degree but still frost on everything
  21. Can't be bothered to go and take pictures of Henry (my full double Hoyer French Horn), Fred (my compensator Horn) and Chris (my single horn) and upload them here. But they do exist, and I do play. I sing as well
  22. We have started using Mathletics as they can do it at home too. Seems to be very popular!
  23. Will make home made hobnobs again if I have time. @X-13 - Don't care what freebies - just "stuff". Could do with some more non-paper or plastic bags for shopping though
  24. We have RM maths too and when I spoke to support they told me that it was luck rather than judgement that gets it to work on Win 7 as it isn't made to do so and we should upgrade to easimaths. I got it installed on the whole IT suite but some computers - varies as to the day and time - have no sound.
