The Drunkard's Walk How Randomness Rules Our Lives Fascinating

Watched "Class" on BBC last night. Very odd, with Dr Who mentions and the Tardis and all sorts. Not sure - found the alien characters rather unpleasant

"in a woodland or natural environment with trees." So...in a wood then? I agree with @elsiegee40 My school have been doing Forest school (well, heathland school in our case) but they have decided that it doesn't really provide anything that the children don't already get with regular visits to local centres. It seems a bit muddled to me

That's why you weren't keen - it was made-up... *runs away to the punny thread mrwITch and little wITch went to see A Monster Calls last night. They thought it was good but too long and very depressing

this is what appears if you look at the posts under iSpy

@mikeprice I'm now going to be there from lunchtime on Friday too - so beware. Just make sure you make yourself known to me

Our librarian flags up new books on the system has a section for book reviews I believe

We use the net version and it does seem to work fine - although nobody uses it other than the library people. The maintenance contract is a ridiculous price though. We find the support pretty good except that you can't get through for hours at the beginning of September!

I can stay either Thurs or Friday night or both but I am struggling to find a hotel that is near Excel and cheap enough. Dont want to be stuck miles from anywhere on my own

Collateral Beauty Quite good but a little over emotional for me

That's nice. I must come and visit the piggies (might come home with a few though )

Happy New Year to all edugeeks everywhere

When our daughter needed a car for her year out, she bought a 1L and we put it on our multicar which brought the price down quite a lot. Both of us were on the policy with her but she was the main driver. We are with Admiral

And Richard Adams too... Is this going to stop now? 2016 can just go and &^%&*& off

Passengers Effects amazing. Ending could have gone more than one way.

Timeless Nice to see a time travel programme that acknowledges that a tiny change can have a huge effect!

Loved it Not just dead nuns, dead, plague-ridden nuns

that's fine - I've heard from him

Yes, but i dont get a break, being part-time, so i rarely see anyone
