anybody got any recommendations of microphones?

The only time i have known logic to rescan the units was when a) i updated logic on all the macs b) i deleted the library folder out of a students documents. Not really anything helpful but have you made sure logic is all up to date and your not doing anything funky with the library folder in their areas?

Cheers! I'm not to fuss about it being overkill for a pc used to have it hooked up to custom made 6ft cab with 4 x 10" and 1 x 18" absolute monster of a thing

I looked at those and couldnt decide whether I liked them or not might have to make a trip to PC world or somewhere similiar to have a look

Looking to get a new 5.1 surround system at home to replace the rubbish usb speakers i've been putting up with. Could probably stretch to about £100? So far have looked at Creative Inspire T6160 Speaker System Xenta 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System Genius SW-N5.1 1000W Speakers - Black Any body got any of these? or any other alternatives? Looking for something that has a good sounding bass to it but can be pushed without sound to tinny or distorted

They would much rather use an external...
-
Dont have the connection kits and would rather not have to buy something else for the staff to loose....

Has any one bought any external microphones for ipads? Looking for something similar to this so that staff / students can make voice memos in apps etc but a quick google for ipad mics bought up fairly expensive microphones £30 +

Hopefully this is in the right place.. Has anybody had got a HP 360p Gen8 and managed to get Ubuntu 10.04 installed on it? Has to be ubuntu 10.04 as our VM cluster software (cloud stack) doesn't like 12.04. It will install but we can't find a driver for the 4 port NIC card running a Broadcom 5719 chip thats in it.

Find a happy place you can go to in times of annoyance or pure disbelief. Such as the time "The room smells like pepperoni and it smells likes its coming from a pc.." "Yeah ok... ill come take a look" ( Mainly out of pure interest) Kid had bashed through a blanking plate and his cheese and pepperoni pannini was toasting nicely on top of the jam cpu heatsink That was an interesting one to explain later why the pc was missing

Does any one else have any ideas that we could try?

the basic install of logic is only 2gb just dont install the additional packs

This seemed to be the only way to get it work is install it on the server and load the shortcuts on the macs
-
Dont worry seem to have fixed it
