Some people get confused with CSVDE as they need to know LDAP syntax, with LNM its a real basic FirstName,LastName,YearGroup etc etc.

Inbuilt bulk import of users from CSV or text file is one of the things that's good about it. I've literally just installed it and skimmed over it though, so I can't tell you much more! So what interesting "features" have you found with LNM? The first one I have found is during setup where it want's me to specify IP addresses for the DHCP scope. I just ran the installer on a spare machine to see what it's like, I left it with the defult DHCP settings it came up with: Start IP: 192.168.0.50 End IP: 192.168.0.254 Then when I press next it says that the End IP must be higher than the Start IP! Changed the Start to 192.168.0.10 and the end to 192.168.0.200 and it works, maybe it's only validating the IP address by the 1st digit in the fourth octet?

Yes, it doesn't work, it just keeps asking for the disc, as soon as I give it a normal 32bit disc it's happy. Although, I can't get it to eject the Server disc so I can put XP Pro in now! Gonna try the paperclip trick but I think the drive will be in lock mode.

Hmm, just tried it and it's a no. What use is that when Microsoft and hardware vendors are rolling out 64bit software/hardware. I know 64bit is still a little way off being mainstream but there are still people who use it!

We have one that's about 4 years old now and it's nothing special, the res isn't really enough to be better than an ordinary OHP! But saying that, the Samsung ones mentioned here seem to have a much higher resolution and could well be good! See how the trial goes, I'd be interested to hear your feedback, I might see about upgrading ours!

The developer mac's have been floating about since July and will run PPC code on the intel chips. Since 10.4.3 for intel, Rosetta has apparently been upgraded to support all the G4 instruction set including Velocity Engine which the Pro apps need to work. I don't think the Intel macs will be as buggy as you think they will be, yes most software has bugs, but we all know what Apple has riding on this transition. OK, you don't want to use the mini as a media hub, but other people read this and they might!
