  1. We use HP's and when I go into Printers and Faxes if any have low toner, it says in the status column, again this requires being proactive.
  2. I'm thinking SNMP, but depending on the manufacturer, you'll have to see what traps there are for the printer!
  3. Downloads quicker at http://www.ethicalhack.org! Another demonstration of why not to use WEP... and 40bit keys
  4. Not if you select the optional "Disable the command prompt script processing also?" section of the "Prevent access to the command prompt" object.
  5. And a quick way to check which little angel did it is this: efsinfo /r /u filename
  6. If they're doing it with EFS then do the following: 1. Open the GPO 2. In the Group Policy Object Editor, expand Computer Configuration, expand Windows Settings, expand Security Settings, expand Public Key Policies, and then click Encrypting File System. 3. Right-click Encrypting File System, and then click Properties. 4. Clear the Allow users to encrypt files using Encrypting File System (EFS) check box, and then click OK.
  7. If you've dissabled access to the command prompt in your Group Policy, even if the users finds cmd.exe it still wont let them execute it.
  8. Would you like a 5 minute, or a 10 minute arguement?

  14. http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/commwarrior.shtml Information about the virus and how to remove it on the above page. Seems like a nasty one, it sends itself to everyone in your phone book! Ask him the question, why the hell did he say yes when it asked him if it he wanted to install it! It doesn't just install by itself!

    OSx86 10.4.4 Leaked

Just to point out this still won't nativley boot on a none Apple intel board. The retail versions of x86 OS X still needs a machine with EFI and not a BIOS which as far as I'm aware only Apple are using at the moment. Although this release is different to the leaked developer files that could be booted on an intel machine I suppose it's only just a matter of time before this is hacked to work with vmware or something!
  23. CBL Data Recovery are going to do a free evaluation of the RAID array, they said the prices range from £1000 upwards and the people who's data it is amazingly are going to pay it!

  25. I can get the drive to power up without it clicking like hell now, so I might give RAID reconstructor a go!
