You could use a scheduled batch file to do the following: Use wsus offline to download the relevant patches Use wdsutil to export the wim Use dism to mount the wim wrap dism injection in a for loop Use dism to commit and unmount the image Use wdsutil to re-import the wim You then need to manually catalog the wim, unless anyone has found a way to script that Then re-import into MDT OS' and the task sequence ready for re-use. Hi, I'm looking to buy some flights but if I do it through a travel agent they add a booking fee (as is their right they've got to make a living) and sometimes don't quote the cheapest seats which is the bigger issue. Has anyone any experience or opinion on buying flights directly from the airline rather than through a travel agent, in this case Trailfinders. Is there any advantages either way or protection gained through booking via an agent? Thanks

Nexus 7 2012 OTA last night. Looks very smart but start up seems slower and rotation a bit lagging, but that could just be my setup. Also Avast is complaining about one of the new system apps having a trojan.

Depends on what you like I like boardgames so Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride are fun, both are not free tho. Condado is a good free version of San Juan. I also like Clash of Heroes for its strategy/faux-rpg elements There's pretty much all the early Final Fantasy games, unsuprisingly not free Or if you own the cartridges there's Snes9x EX+ a good free SNES emulator. Tiny Thief is a good puzzle gameand Where's My Perry is not too bad. For a bit of twitch/arcade Rayman Jungle Run. If you like drawing there's plenty of sketchpad apps but my favourite is LayerPaint, it was Autodesk Sketchbook but the latest version looks less good. Hope that helps, if you have any specific interests I may have other ideas.

If you’re desperate it's always worth reseating the drives in the bays. Sometime drives are failed due to a bad write threshold being crossed and reseating them can clear this. Not guaranteed but worth a go if all else is lost.

Hi, I've been to Japan three times its a fascinating place whatever the weather. Where and when to go kind of depends on how long you can go for. Tokyo is high energy all the time even, and sometimes especially at night, it can be pretty wearing though. To keep costs down don't stay too centrally, I've stayed in the Ikebukuro district on each occasion, it's very lively but affordable (not cheap still) and quite well connected. Based in Tokyo you can strike out to Kamakura and Nikko for an insight into old Japan. Kyoto is a beautiful city and full of culture, if I go again I'd spend longer here than Tokyo. Based here you can go on trips to Nara, Himeji castle or Osaka if you need more modern Japan. I'd also recommend Matsumoto, still in central Japan, it has a great castle and really nice town. If you have the time to travel, get a JR rail pass, they're good value for money and gets you on the shinkansen (bar a few), local trains in tokyo and even the airport express train. Travel south for a slower pace Hiroshima is nice and Kumamoto is a great destination and base for side trips such as Mount Aso an active volcano. North is good too and if you have time the far north is like another country. For accomodation their youth hostels are really good or try a minshuku (guest house) as the cheaper options and you'll meet interesting people. Ryokans can be a bit scary but some are great fun with the right hosts. Weather is tricky, Japan is a long country and has quite a variety. It's like the rest of the world though when the weather is supposed to be the best costs rise and places are in short supply. I've been in therainy season and got both beautiful days and complete washouts. I could go on for ages so before this becomes an essay I'll stop there. I'm happy to answer any questions if I can. The statement about Compellent/Equalogic expansion is just plain wrong. Expasion for Compellents is on a per disk basis and if you fill up then you buy a new shelf not a new array. With the equalogic I have less experience but it's probably needing to buy enough disk to act as the underlying RAID. The Equalogic will be made to behave like the Compellents going forward though. Another thought is for that many hosts and VMs you don't necessarilly need a huge array how about a Dell MD3220 (or similar) SAS attached? Cheap initial outlay and expansion and will probably perform fine unless you're looking for whizzing bolt ons like progression and dedupe. Never used a Nimble so i can't have an opinion about those. EMC stoarge roadmap is still quite dated and theres an alarming amount of bugs in their VNX range. HP, I'll echo what others have said and the support is terrible. Also as a pedant, the SAN is the complete infrastructure (HBAs, switches, arrays) what we're all talking about is just the storage array

Hi, Without knowing the versions this is a bit of a guess but have you tried treating the Hyper-V VMs as physical machines and effectivly doing a P2V conversion? Cheers

Agreed, however if you've invested in FC skills and infrastructure, you'd want to avoid purchasing again. One of the things that counted againt the VNX for us is that for expansion you need to buy sufficient disks that match the underlying RAID that makes up the storage pools. Compellent and probably others you can add as few or many as you desire due to the nifty way it handles data writes and progression.

Hi, I've worked with some Dell Compellents and they're my favourite array right now, and I've used a few Pros: Great management interface and reporting, the tiering works very efficiently, expansion can be as little or much as you want (unlike VNX), so far very relieable, new features regularly released, array migration is free and easy. Cons: The cost but as the protocol states "Good, Fast, Cheap: Pick any two (you can't have all three).", getting the new software can be a bit time consuming, Enterprise manager is OK but not great at scheduled reporting. I've not used Hitatchi and I've only used IBM with a DS4XXX series array which was very disappointing, hopefully thety've improved. Happy to answer anything else about the Compellent or EMC (and Oracle (Sun) arrays if you're looking at those)

Interesting XP fact: The Flare code (< x.30) on EMC Clariion arrays is a cut down version of XP complete with GUI for engineers.

I'd probably advise against one big RAID set as rebuild times would be quite lengthy, impacting response time if a disk failed. In fact depending on your backup window and weight/type of data you might even go for more than two RAID sets as you could then use a greater number of readers and writers (if your software allows) and minimise disk contention. If you really need as much of the 14TB as possible this may not be applicable.

Edit the track metadata/details in File explorer if they're mp3s so that they list and play in the order you want. To ensure this rename the files 01 - Track1Name, 02- Track2Name as well as the track property.

Watership Down - the animated film. I can't believe it's U rated. Tons of frights, violence and death, but y'know for kids. My wife is so scarred by it when watching the Book of Kells (great animated film) she had a wide-eyed flashback as the spirit cat looked like the ghost rabbit and brought terrible memories back.
