We used Disk2VHD on our SIMS server and didn't stop any services. It came up perfectly as a VM in Hyper-V.

I'm using a Draytek for my copper VDSL, it's a highly configurable and very reliable router. Way better than a Home Hub.

Are you running pc-client from the PaperCut server or do you copy it locally? We group policy it directly from the PC server, so the client is always updated.

19.0.3 applied successfully, all seems to be working ok. Hoping I don't have to go around doing all the copier clients again after 19.0.2.

PaperCut 19.0.2 running in VM Server 2012 R2 CPU usage for pc-app running at around 1% The only thing we're seeing is difficulty printing PDFs from a browser. Is there a specific fix for this yet?

The Receive Connector allows all messages sent from the server running PaperCut.

I tested the principle for you - we have on-premises Exchange 2016 and local PaperCut OCR. I successfully sent both a PDF (non-OCR) scan and a DOCX (OCR) scan to my e-mail. Both came through fine.

I gave up on the cloud OCR solution and installed the local OCR software (Wollemi) on the same server as PaperCut and that's working a treat. I went around upgrading all our copiers to PaperCut 2.4 to ensure that the menus work properly. The results are mostly good but can result in pure gobbledegook if the original text is not great.

Does anyone know what mantra is needed in Smoothwall to be able to activate PaperCut cloud services? I've done all the obvious, opened port 443, whitelisted cloud.papercut.com but I keep getting a 'no internet connection' error.

No problem here, just a couple of tablets used in the labs which don't need to print. 32-bit is dead!

Nice - OCR scanning is a great additional feature. Downloading the 19.0.1 upgrade now.

1809 is working well here with no issues. We're using 250GB SSDs and, short of a few very heavily used shared computers, the GPO profile clean-up keeps them from getting full. It's going to be interesting to see how the 19H1 reserved space will work. Since all temp files will be put in there, it may keep the system running better and more crap-free. Right now, running Disk Cleanup every so often keeps the Windows installations tidy.

I would never enable POP3 for anyone. IMAP is debatable. What do you do for your staff? We use Exchange which can be used in the built-in mail client or via the Outlook app. There must be similar for GMail.
