OMG, the watch powered Red Bull of Ricciardo just clocked a 1m23.525s on the ultrasoft tyre... Never knew you could wind a spring up that tight....

the Manor is basically the old LWT logo upside down and colour scheme. Haas has gone for it's corporate colour scheme and doesn't look a bad car if they can keep the front wing attached today. Most of the teams have gone down the same styling route but there are small differences, but I do agree with the amount of black cars now... thankfully Renault should get more yellow in a month.

In all fairness to CCS media (which you may use), it is entirely possible that this scam company are just claiming to be them, as over the years they have used other company names all with the same script.

[windows mobile based] Lumia 640 XL or 950 XL?
Boredguy replied to LeMarchand's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Surely that should be the Worf look as well as the Wookie Look since he's had the shash for longer air time -
He does keep crowing on about how good his puns are. It's almost illeagle in this office, but I'll let him off cheep for now.

I shall leave you to stew about it, but I'm sure we can hash something out.

Virtualbox + image for programming classes
Boredguy replied to mwbutler's topic in How do you do....it?
Our students just minimise the Virtual machine and use the web through the host machine.. or is that too logical? -
Bedknobs and Broomsticks... just because it was on Netflix's after we altered a mates login settings to Kids only.

If your lucky someone will give you a pad on the head.

Impero should not be critical to the use of your school IT, but you will have to call Impero Support to get the files as it depends what version you were licenced for.

Migrating the e-mails is normally easy enough, and I would imagine LinktoICT will do that. Address books and calendars need to be done by the users (if they use them) as they can not automatically transferred via the 365 migration tool. There is nothing wrong with Office365, and just because it has Word etc available does not mean you have to assign the licences to users to that function. You can happily just assign users the Exchange component and have an up to date e-mail system that works for free.

Ours are in The Admin portal -> Groups. Don't look for them in the Exchange admin portal, but rather the normal Office 365 one.

Yes had the same CCS Media call yesterday yet again celebrating winning the contract for the UK Chocolate manufacturers (though I'm not sure who they could be referring so since the major one is US owned now) The operator was most shocked when I cut off her monologue to be "amazed" that they won the contractor twice in a fortnight and we were not interested. "What you don't want free chocolate?" Pointed out that it was classed as a bribe and to remove all our contact details... next time they call (and it's easy to detect due to all the noise in the background) I may just put them on hold and see how long it takes them to hang up.

Just remember it's only 2 states at the moment, and cruse control is your friend if you don't want the $1000 speeding fines

Broadcast without using the console
Boredguy replied to BonnyArmadillo's topic in Network and Classroom Management
I'd also rule Impero out for the notifications (and did so when we had some "advisers" in recently looking at just his issue) Netsupport has a little tool that will do the notification and on of the other threads suggested it was quite cheap per station and would allow you to install it on your reception computers without any issue as it only sends the message out, it can not monitor screens. -
Really old scanner kicking around you can use?

Impero - Advanced Policies, etc.
Boredguy replied to timlineuk's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Most of our Office machines are grouped within their own folder, and don't have as strict rules applied as we do for the classrooms. We also ensured that our console stations can only see computers within certain folders so ensure that no-one can see an office computer from the classroom. To date, no-one has an issue with it, as most of our users are happy that they can call us up and we can resolve the issue over the phone seeing exactly what they are doing. But it comes down to a) trust and b) what your policies are in the first place -
Well Matt has done the BBC America compilation show for the best of the Top Gear Races recently, so not a big shock

Alas it sounds like the black is mainly the testing colour and it might be more yellow come race 1.
