  1. Do you have quicktime installed?
  2. What email client are you using on his PC, if it's outlook then it might be possible with a combination of roaming profiles to keep the two PCs singing from the same song sheet and iCloud to keep the iPad happy.
  3. I was looking into doing this a while back, have a look on you tube there are some vids telling you how to get good results without too much cost. Just bare in mind you will need more space then you think.
  4. That's what I wanted to do, head down the local car auctions. Buy anything under £50 that wasn't a metro. And then head for the Nurbergring!

That's always expensive, if I can be bothered I build a station and a dock on the coast and just use the ship to shuttle the oil over and let the train do the rest.
  7. I've always used robocopy for stuff like this. I tend to copy the files to the new server the weekend before (using a sheduled task) and then do another copy when I'm ready to migrate. If you use the right switches robocopy won't copy the unchanged files so it hardly takes any time. If you use DFS bare in mind it'll make you're path names longer. We use it and we had a odd issues where staff had used ridiculously long directory names in the shared area.

I usually do trains, I often start my game by going to the industry list and sorting by production.
  9. That'll be the Rich Tea brigade. They're upset because the HobNob is the average SWGfL geek's biscuit of choice.
  10. They could still get round it by installing another browser.
  11. Both my current school and my last one gave teachers read only access to student work areas.
  12. Ouch!! A 2u APC 3000 was bad enough. Is this now RockeryGeek?
  13. I love delivery time, except when new UPSs turn up.
  14. Is there an audio out on the projector (it will however be a bit of a pig to cable) If not you could replace the amp with an AV reciever that supports HDMI.
  15. So basically a slightly bigger iPod Touch.
  16. These guys don some specialist pointing devices. The Keyboard Company - Purveyors of the Finest Keyboards and Mice in the UK
  17. Snapseed is a neat little app for editing photos. However you still have issues importing photos on to the tablet (unless they're taken with the onboard camera) and then exporting/printing them afterwards. I would see if you can bang heads with the art teacher and find some more interesting IT based art activities using conventional PCs.
  18. We have too many classrooms, I like to see projectors turned off over lunch in case the room isn't in use durring the afternoon.
  19. Get rid before someone in management notices you have 'spare computers'.
  20. Make sure you have your glove puppets on hand. You'll soon have to explain to him why he can't download stuff off iTunes/YouTube.
  21. I had a similar issue with a Canon copier, in the end I queried it with the leasing company who gleefully informed me if sir would like to use it as a networked printer there would be an extra charge for that.
  22. I popped out and had chips in the park. Shame I didn't have a little longer but very pleasant.
  23. Can you give us more details, are you saying that your clients aren't members of the domain? How big is your network?
  24. That's a big assumption, I don't think I've ever had a server come pre installed.
  25. I've just had a little play, for me it work if I activate my stafff unfiltered but not otherwise. Probably best to log a call with SWGfL.
