Can someone else in the SWGFL area see if this site is working for them. I'm having trouble with it even using the staff unfiltered, I'm wondering if it's just one of those site that the SWGfL proxy trashes.

My dad is still running it on all his machines. One is a C2D machine that's only a year old. He also uses office 97.

I changed the drive icon for my memory stick to Spongebob Squarepants. I once managed to leave it plugged into the back of a PC in the art block for about a month. I spotted it almost imediatly even though I couldn't physicaly see the stick.

This is why you should never use public transport. -
Duel by lightsaber is the only way to resolve this.

Don't we have a special edugeek graphic for this?

Is that a main dealer? What's the car, how long do you plan to keep it? I've got front pads and disks, an MOT test and some repairs (not parts needed) to the rear brakes on my car for £190. Oh and I drive a Chysler, there parts are very expensive (the mechanic told me it would be 'roughly' £150 before he'd checked the price of the parts).

Do they have a candidate standing in your area? If not there's always Labour.

How many have you got left?

We've got a few Canons here, they all seem to do what it says on the tin. I've got a Fuji S1500, probably not what's you're after since you can make quite a few adjustments, it's trying to be a baby SLR. However it's a great little camera.

Multiple Laptop connections - SLOW!
K.C.Leblanc replied to smitho1990's topic in Network and Classroom Management
60 Laptops and one AP. Ouch. If you make that work you're well on the way to be sainted. Generaly the largest number of laptops that'll reliably connect to an AP is about 15. One thing to consider is that although wireless is 56mb/s it's shared between the clients, so your laptops will be getting very little bandwidth. If you add more unmanaged APs you need to read up on the different wireless frequencies and how to prevent them overlapping. If your laptops support it look into wireless 'A' APs. They have less range but work better when placed near each other. Search the forums for 'Managed Wireless', ruckus and aruba. This should give you lots of info about the sort of systems people use to support large numbers of laptops. -
Get him to put a plug on it, and then you'll be able to mend it. I'd agree with the trying to get some private practice, it helped me.

Gordon Brown crashes the Labour Campaign....!

And yet people loved Winston Churchil for this sort of thing. -
PSSHUTDOWN on one of my servers with a bit of scripting. Although I suspect if I was doing it again I'd just use shutdownatron. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896649.aspx

I think my local Labour guy will be one of them. His majority is only 500 votes. Shame cos he is a really nice chap.

DELL Optiplex 745 not downloading Windows Updates
K.C.Leblanc replied to soveryapt's topic in Windows
Save all this a batch file and run it on the PC. This can solve some WSUS issues. -
It's not looking good for him at the moment, I read today Nick Clegg said he'd be prepared to work for men from Mars, but Gordon Brown was out of the question.
-
Right you leave me no option, the edugeek tactical sniper squad have been despatched to all Cotton Trader outlet shops and branches of M&S in central england. It's for your own good.

Only Design Standard. If it makes you feel any smugger 'that boys school' have also got CS5 (although I suspect CS8 will be out by the time they're depolyed it). I think I might have to go and cry.
-
Tech_Guy that's not good, if you start wearing Crocs and Socks we will only have one humain course of action open to us.
-
No earliest, we bought CS4 quite recently. If we can get some CS5 stylee action for free I'd be very happy. I think I'll have to give the licensing people a bell.
-
What's the earliest date to order CS4 to then get the upgrade to CS5.
