If you are still having problems I found that using the "Nessy Browser" helped. It can be found here https://www.nessy.com/uk/help/ scroll down and the link is on the right at the bottom

Just a thought but have you looked down in preferences and registry settings. The preference settings don't show when you use rsop.msc, you have to run GPRESULT /H gpreport.html (which will be saved in the directory you run it from.

The way I set it up was to set the school calendar up as a resource and then users can add that to their calendar by pasting the link. This is done from the admin control panel Settings - Calendar- Resources. The resources is aimed at room booking etc. Also from the settings-org settings you can set that all calendars are available to anyone in the domain so that anyone can add anyone else's calendar. Don't know if that helps.
