I'm looking at doing a staged migration from Exchange 2007 to Office 365 with one mail box and I can't seem to get very far (having a thick day). I'm going through the migration wizard in office 365, created my CSV file and provide my on premise details. When I get two the step below I enter in what I think it should but it fails so I run the connectivity tests and all of them fail, so imp guessing what im typing in is wrong. If someone can advise on the correct format that would be much appreciated. Here similar to what i'm typing in Exchange Server - servername.school.lancs.sch.uk RPC Proxy server - school.lancs.sch.uk Hope this makes sense. Thanks

+1 Truecrypt. Works very well here, we set up true crypt on the laptops before they go out and record the password somewere secure as well as keeping a copy of the rescue disk. We are also a small school we have this on around 35 staff laptops.

I'm purchasing a new server to be a hyper v virtual host with local storage. I'm undecided what raid set up to go for either Raid 5 or Raid 10 but a supplier has just mentioned about Raid 50. It will host around 4 virtual servers on average with an extra one or two in the event of a disaster, some of the roles will be exchange, file services, WDS/WSUS, Website and another SQL application possibly. It would be much appreciated if you could cast your opinions and advice.

We seem to be having an issue in our windows 7 ICT suite. We have two printers HP 3525 and Kyocera FS-2100 installed on the 2003 print server and deployed via group policy. On 6 out of the 20 machines in the suite the print spooler keep stopping. I have deleted the files in the following location C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers, restarted the spooler, tried different drivers . I'm running out of ideas now... thanks

with regards to storage what about some sort of local tiered storage for example SSDs for the OS and SQL and then cheaper disks for the user data that doesn't require high IOPS. And shouldn't ESX2 be same spec as as ESX1 so end users don't notice anything different.

From what i understand it doesnt matter if its in or out of warranty ours is 5+ years old and is out of warranty. If you have paid anything to fixe it you may be able to claim it back as well.
