    We use VLC on all the Teachers laptops and on all the machines we build too. Great and easy to use too!

    We had some trouble doing this until we got exactly the same version drivers then it worked at treat.

    In for tourney on the PC with FPS games. Counter Strike Source would be preferable and I would imagine finding an empty server wouldn't be a problem. Left for Dead is always great fun too!

    I figured this out just the other night. Here's what you do... Make sure everyone on your server does this or else it won't work properly. Only ever put candles on the right hand side wall, if you need to put them on the other side of the tunnel then put them on the floor. this way you can find your way back easily to the top

    This game was destined to be awful. I have not played it yet and will not buy it, they should have put it to rest years ago.

    I would have thought that having 2 dc's with the same name was a definite no no (edit: confirmed) . We made a vmware copy of the old server and then installed 2008 on the main server. We called that NEWRDC and left the old one as it was. Copied all the stuff we needed off the old one and did the dcpromo. Then we renamed the old dc to OLDRDC and renamed the new one to the old name. (hope that makes sense!!)

    Hope you had a good time, we seem to be almost sorted here. When we renamed the new server you have to give it a second name and then promote that name to primary and then remove the secondary (old) name. That way everything can keep on working. hmmm let me find the site I used... this looks like the one, this Petri site is full of good stuff Rename Windows Server 2008 Domain Controllers hope thats some help there!

    Having much the same problem here. 2003 to 2008 and all the clients seem to be stuck on verifying. We did at one point have it working on our phones.

    We now have a 64bit 2008 running with a 32bit 2008 hyper-v for the print server. We took a copy of the main server onto a machine from our shop with vmware and copied everything from that across to the new one. This was helpful in that we could have an untouched copy of the server before any changes, then took incremental snapshots as we made changes.

    This is what we have done, worked fine. Second time round! We wanted to have the new server's name the same as the old one and didn't do the renaming properly, had to reinstall the new server from scratch!
