Have you set options 66 and 67 on your new DHCP scopes? You'll need these as the clients can't broadcast the request across to a different subnet.

You can do what you want with the HP RAID - you'd effectively have two RAID 10 volumes, one using 4 of the 900GB disks, and the other with the 1.2TB disks. Is that what you want to do?

"show spanning-tree root" will do it for a Cisco switch. "show spanning-tree summary" - will show general info.

Is there no pattern at all? Not affecting a particular network segment? Any other network performance issues?

If spanning tree is configured correctly, it definitely won't cause the type or problems that you're seeing - and to be honest I've never really seen it cause any problems at all. If it's happened very suddenly without any configuration changes or devices being added to the network, it's likely to be either a network loop (e.g. someone has plugged both ends of a network cable into a switch - but spanning tree should stop this!), or it's a faulty piece of hardware connected to your network that is swamping your network with rubbish. Your support company should be able to look at your network infrastructure and the port statistics and get an insight into what is going on. I'd be surprised if it's configured to have STP on out-of-the-box. Any other uplinks? What device is on the other end of the fibre? how old is the fibre link?

No need to configure anything special unless you're going to be creating a trunk or VLAN-tagging. It's not a spanning tree issue is it? If you've already got an uplink in place, spanning tree could be disabling the port.

As others have said, it really depends on what you want to do with it and your planned workload. Nutanix is a neat solution, but in my experience is quite expensive compared to some other solutions.

It's a comware switch, isn't it? From memory I seem to remember you have to create a dhcp-relay group (even if it's just a single DHCP server) and then tell each VLAN which group to use. Have you done that?

Do you have any mailboxes in O365? or just using FOPE? Also - so your flow is from O365 via your on-premise Ex2010 box? Is that right?

It's quite well hidden, isn't it? I think you need to deploy it alongside the RMM agent, but that's about it - nothing else AFAIK.

What version of SharePoint are you running? Are all of the services running?

Definitely this - dedupe in 2012R2 is particularly good and the performance overhead is tiny!
