Like I said in a earlier post, I make the decision not Prof whateverhisname is based on weather conditions, my cars condition and other traffic. If you service your car, keep it under warranty and if the garage tells you you need to change some tyres or brakes soon, tell the garage to keep the car 1-2 more days and do any work required. In other words keep your kit well maintained. Some people just get a car through it mot and don't bother replacing hings unless forced by a mot failure.

@witch your friend is correct if a hazard was around a corner you would stand no chance of seeing it, but as someone that use M1.M40,M6 on a regular basis and averages at night around 115mph and even quicker on the M6 toll when its empty I can confirm that that there are not many sudden bends or twists. The M40 when the weather is bad is a pain, I slow right down to 55-60mph as the M40 is not as well lit as the M1. How your friend can claim that quality premium german saloon is not safer and have better brakes than a old metro driven by a single mum from a council estate without insurance is beyond me. I drove old french cars for 13 years, as soon I went german I could feel the brakes were better, my wheels never skid as even if i try to hammer it a yellow triangle flashes on my dash and reduces the power to the wheels to ensure safety.

what has your gender got to do with it unless your trying to say that your a better driver due to gender. Once over 25 the differences between genders in driving patterns is next to nothing. BUT did you learn from your mistake like I did when i was 18 and turn yourself into a better driver, thats the question I want to know. When I drive on the motorways now I only change lanes after making sure everything is ok several times. No amount of lessons can prepare you for long distance driving, high speeds for long periods of time with boredom also coming into play. Thats why I never use my cruise control option as it takes your mind of the job.

if the your pcs or laptops or over 1 year old and the image you use has all the updtes then one image should work. I have used one image on 7 different types of computers and latops, no issues. Two other types of computers worked fine other than soundblaster and nvidia cards. I believe I may be onto my dream of having one image to rule them all, other than media.

As a good driver I always check to see if the lane is clear both in front and behind before moving into it. Don't worry about it though I'm guessing you have only just past, when I was 18 years old I had a similiar experience with a shredded tyre left in the outside lane, but it made me a much better driver.
-
Exactly a idiot caused the problem, the speed was not a issue, also to reduce accidents on motorways we should have yellow glowing lines down the middle of the lanes so you can see how they shape from further back, also if the was some debris in the lane you would notice earlier, I did post this last night but Witch removed it, or we have a law that every road with a 60 or 70 limit must have lights in the middle. Never happen though costs money
-
The traffic police turn a blind eye, the reason is they know that speed is not the key issue on the M1,M6 etc, but if you start changing lanes, tailgating etc they will soon pull you over. You see just because a politician makes a law does not mean that the foot soldiers are going to enforce it.

run flat tyres, technology moves on as we all should know working in IT..
-
Your right but thats down to the personality if the individual drivers, just because they do it does not mean my style or my parents style is dangerous. M1 , 2am crystal clear view, quality german car with run flat tyres and powerfull brakes, safer than doing 70mph 30 years ago in a austin mini.

The windows 7 image I created for my new PCs this year, works on nearly every other computer and laptop in the school and install the right drivers without any aggro using WDS, if the hardware drivers for your laptops are already on the windows 7 dvd then it should just work. The only computers that caused grief were media desktops with soundblaster and nvidia products.

no one is trolling, people opinions will differ on this subject, when I get in my car and drive on a motorway late at night to get home, I as the driver with the responsibilty for my passengers will make the decision on what speed is safe not a snooty govenment official. I will take all things into account, weather conditions, the quality of my car and ensure any speed is safe for this vehicle, also other road users, its not safe to go even at 50-60 if your stuck bumper to bumper. When I first past my test at around 18, I was a crap driver in a old banger but both me and the cars that I drive had gone up in quality. Trust me when I say this good quality modern cars have so many extra safety features to stop cars losing control, like I said talk to veteran traffic cop, I used to drive to away games up north regularly and never got a pullover, the reason being a good experienced traffic cop will use his own judgement on your drving,

I always had french cars for the last 13 years and theres always stuff going wrong. I recently bought a BMW 330ci msport convertable, I will always pay the extra for main dealer servicing just so I can keep it under BMW warranty. If you buy a used approved or new car from a good car make and keep it warrantied then atleast you know it advance how much it cost per year to service and maintain. If your car has a very low milage on it for its year BMW will sometimes replace things for free as a good will gesture. My old saxo vts used to cost about £300-500 everytime we took it in and it was hardly a bird puller, if you can stretch to it a german make such Volkswagan or BMW are much better bang per buck.

psp video convertor software does this just google Google

This will fix it, create a reg file with this, it might take a reboot or too to get sorted, also make sure to configure the wait for network option startup indows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System] "EnabledLinkedConnections"=dword:00000001

I remember some heated threads on the newsgroups about opensource with some guy called Ian L from the learning machine and some bloke called Covey systems, my memory is hazy.

Not a troll, search my other posts all on education tech stuff, I wanted to help you with advise to reduce your burden, everyone is entitled under British law to defend themselves against allegations, I was offering advise based on my own experience and others. Also I feel quite hurt that you think I'm dangerious driver. The trained traffic police that I have passed doing 110 + over the years late at night on a empty M6 or M40 would rather spend their time dealing with dangerious drivers, changing lanes without indicaters for example, poorly maintained cars that cannot stop quickly even at under 70mph. Trust me talk to a proper traffic cop with 20 years experience, a experienced driver like me in German quality car with the best safety technical specs is not a danger. Now a old woman with bad eyesight in 14 year old ford escort is different.

I think you need to add static routes to your router. Also check what ports are blocked

Sorry always thought you were because you been around for ever even on the old newsgroups etc, I just assumed you would have been asked. I've been reading sites like this and the old newsgroups for donkeys years.

I remember a few years back, a complete misunderstanding took place, my mum recieved a letter claiming her car was speeding, she was just about to fill it in with her own name when she remembered that it was her cousin Mustupha from India that was driving that weekend. Being the law abiding person that my mum is she had to fill in his details instead, she never heard another word. I think it terrible that if you lend your car to a relative from overseas they are unlikely to be prosecuted. My mum and dad share the driving when going up to |Burscough, once after recieving a nip letter, luckily it ws my dad drivng as he did not have any points already on his license, had my mum been driving she would have bent sent over 12 points limit, Its just as well my dads got a good memory and owned up straight away.

my post has gone, rather than edit one line out she has removed lots of usefull information on road sfety that could have saved lifes. Its funny how GrumbleDook did not feel the need to edit or remove it, can you please put the rest of it backup regarding motorway safety as it could help save lifes. Sorry for using the W word but I take road safety very seriously and like to share my experience and advise with others to improve theirs.

Ruckus issue ZF2942 -- cisco 2960G netgear fs726tp poe
Jose replied to Jose's topic in Wireless Networks
Hi Robert its fixed now I was told by my line manager who configured and installed them at one of the switches had the wrong vlan setup, it was effecting networked printers as well but not wired pcs etc. -
Please help.. Before the 6 weeks holiday we had a Ruckus zone director with 6 ZF2942 access points, these were connected to netgear fs726tp switches which then connected to a nortel switch in each office block, these then linked via fibre back to the core switches in our server cabinet. We use several vlans one for each office block, everything worked fine before the holiday. A few changes were made during the summer and now we have a strange situation with two of the ZF2942 points, they are on the same vlan as each other have stopped working properly, this is what happens, after about 10-15 minutes they become disconnected in the zonedirector, you can connecto to them via a web interface and restart and then they work for 10-15 minutes before the problem happens again. On this vlan the nortel switch has been replaced with a cisco 2960G. All other access points work fine but they still go from a fs726tp to a nortel back to the core cabinet. With the two access points with problems you can still ping them and enter the managment interface with a web browser but the actual wireless vlans in them are diasabled untill a reboot does anyone have any ideas.

we did this this 3-4 years ago, moved from CC3 to a Vanilla 2003 network with a 2008 server providing DHCP and WDS and remote access. You need to work out how your going to replace the functionality of CC3 to ensure the smooth running of your new network. From the Server side its very easy as the CC3 tools are Shi*te, AD Bulk modify, Password control and NTFS Fix, all free from Wisesoft. There is free tool created by a guy from sheffield uni, that helps create new users and edit user areas. We have our student GPOs setup like this GPO1 = user login script that maps user area and other mapped drives, second script thats maps printers depending on computer name. Folder redirection and some small restrictions to stop misuse. GPO2 is a internet config/restriction gpo that forces proxy settings and restricts users from changing stuff, also add sites to trusted zones, enable active content to run from certain areas. GPO3 = runs scripts to log user logins and limit users to logging onto one station. Our curriculum GPOs are very simple, GPO1= computer restrictions, one startup script that updates the all users desktop with shortcuts stored in a network share. A second startup script that executes them reg frag files, this enables us to make quick changes to settings not covered naturally by GPOs. software restriction policy usefull for blocking viruses from USB and restricting games. We use WDS to deploy desktops but if you don't fancy setting that up then a BartPe disc will enable you to dump a syspreped image of your deskptop on a server share and you can deploy it with ease.
