I've got a family friend thats having some problems accessing his contacts list for iCloud using Outlook 2010. I'm not familar with iCloud or Outlook 2010 so I don't really know how to 2 work together. Hes using a gmail email address for iCloud which I'm assuming syncs all of his contacts and calendar appointments across all his devices iOS and Windows. When he clicks on "Addresses" in Outlook he gets the following error messages for the iCloud address book And when clicking on "Contacts" in outlook it gives this error message. Googling the error doesnt reveal any sound information on the problem and the ones that are similar have no answers. He seems to believe it was related to the latest Windows 10 update he did but I don't think that its the cause.

Just tried it on my home lab and the first impressions were not good, it has a default IP address of 172.16.16.16 so requires so faffing to get it working if your on a different range and it needs the internet to complete the install as it wants to register. The interface is a maze of menus unlike the SG series which I find to be very easy to navigate. The menus could also be laid out better, it looks like nice and clean but its not (I know what I mean ) The product is a combination of the Sophos product and their Cyberoam product. I've been having lots of problems with the Sophos SG unit on my home lab so hopefully this will fix those issues. Its definitely not ready for education so don't waste your time.

Meraki is a odd option for a single site as the cloud controller wins hands down if you have more than 1 site, which is why it seems more expensive for a single site. I've personally got 3 sites to manage and being able to manage those with a single browser window is a massive time saver. Everything is nice and fast but all laid out in easy to understand language not requiring a PhD to operate it, plus layer 7 built right into the AP.... I could go on as I'm a total meraki fanboy now and I'm not ashamed to admit it, but even I know they aren't the best solution to every situation. We are only a small org but have a few small sites around Lancashire. We paid £3012 for 6AP's with 5 year licences for the price of 3 year licences.

Use Meraki here too, its just awesome! I'm guessing that Meraki appears to be less popular in this particular poll because Ruckus is pretty much spam advertised on this forum.

So the clients on the DHCP server are pointing to that interface? Are you trying to setup the BYOD feature?

Do you have an authentication method for the vlan interface for an SSL Login page? Web proxy » Authentication » Manage policies So any traffic arriving at that interface should have that policy applied.

Gone with the Asrock board. I had a good search on Jetway and some Supermicro boards seemed promising but sourcing them from somewhere reliable seemed impossible. It'll be an interesting (albeit expensive) experiment but I can use the board for lots of home lab type stuff if the UTM doesn't work out.

Yeah I do. Those little daughter board nics look like a good idea. I'll have a browse of Jetways site and see if they have something that is more along the lines of what I'm after.

Hi Caffrey, unfortunately thats only got 1 NIC, i'd need 2 as a minimum with 1 for the internet and then 1 for the lan They need to be onboard too because I don't want the added expense of an add in card.

Thats certainly food for though, the C2750 could be overpowered then! but nothing wrong with that I guess.

I've decided to build a Sophos UTM (only played with it on a VM) for use at home but I want it to be very low powered and very quiet. For the motherboard I've seen this ASRock C2750D4I Mini ITX Avoton C2750 Motherboard - Scan.co.uk but not entirely sure it'll be up to the job however reviews on websites seem to think it is. It'll be matched up with a 120GB Samsung SSD in a 1u case. It'll be serving about 5 users with various devices, phones, tablets, PC's and laptops. I'll be ticking most of the boxes, AV scanning, IPS, VPN etc etc. So I'm just wondering if that motherboard is up to the job.

Too late for me now, or does this mean I now have another Windows 10 key? xD I'll assume they deactivated my Win7 key when they gave me the Win10 key.

That didn't work for me, I had to call MS who then gave me a new key for Win10, but I guess that means I can use the key on any hardware not just the hardware I currently have. (im talking about at home)

Your wired network will have a router entry on the dhcp scope which is the default gateway of that vlan. Just like your BYOD and guest networks will. Thats how dhcp will be issuing IP's out to the correct network.
